5-Hour Energy Shots

Looking for 5-hour energy shots (or similar product recommendations…) in bulk packs at a reasonable price? Individual prices at petrol stations are around $5/bottle which is expensive!

Yes they are probably bad for your health, but they definitely give a kick - stronger than any preworkout / no-doz or coffee I've ever had.

Don't know why you got downvoted for stating the obvious. Have a +1 from me.

        There's no biological free ride.

        Thanks Montorola

  • Just off the top of my head, have you tried the Australian made RIZE energy drink?
Or if you go to the gym at all OxyShred works well for me.

REIZE is a powdered energy drink made for gamers

ugh, the product might be fine, but the connection between energy drinks and gaming is pretty disgusting

      • Yes and fair enough, I mention RIZE because it is Australian owned and operated, it's low in calories, sugar and "bad stuff" and it was a good option for me as a pre-training drink for energy. Also, they are fairly cheap per sachet? I have not seen their standalone pricing as I was a subscriber for some time.

        • Didn’t mean to knock the product, I drink enough energy drinks to be curious about it. Just the marketing, which the others do too.
Hell I’ve been working in Japan and there’s a local Red Bull venue just for fighting games, and they hand out free cans like water.

          • @crentist: You mean like an arcade that only has Streetfighter, Tekken, and Marvel vs Capcom… AND they give out free energy drinks!? I am moving to Japan.

@hey aj: Kinda even better than that. It's a room full of console stations, and every day they set up something different. You might walk into a room full of people playing Smash Bros, or Tekken, or SF. And for some reason it's usually free. I think it's intended as an e-sports venue.

Have you tried Dihydrogen monoxide ?

    Bodybuilders cant live without it.

I'd be very careful with that, it's been found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesion, and prolonged exposure to solid DHMO is proven to cause severe tissue damage.

    • Downvoting for terrible advice.

While some bodybuilders may accept the risks associated with ingesting vast amounts of DHMO prior to a competition to help shed weight, you cannot seriously recommend anyone actually takes that stuff to stay awake.

OP, do not try using DHMO, it is a proven killer.

try u235. it will give you energy for the rest of your life.

  • Find a Korean grocery, get Bacchus D
Should be basically the same stuff but way cheaper and been around for ages. About 10 years ago I was getting this stuff for $1 each, or a box of 10 for $6. Got me through uni.

This kind of stuff is popular and cheap in Asia and has been around for many years. the 5 hour crap just seems to be an overpriced copy. Just like red bull, if you can find the original Thai stuff in the gold cans it's way cheaper.

  • 5 hr energy is 200mg of caffene, according to the label.

most 500ml energy drinks are around 180mg. You can get bulk from amazon for around $1.6/can

  • Just get a bottle of 100 No Doz servings (100mg caffeine each) from the chemist. Much cheaper.

    • Yeh. Nodoz is a good option. Takes a while to kick in tho?
