  •

    Bought one. Thanks OP :)

  •

bs rrp but for $50 perfect if your on a budget

  •

    Nice one thanks!

The picture isn’t that of a 6 piece. Looks like a 10 piece.

  •

Do they have any coating inside the pots or they perfect just stainless steel. anyone currently using it can give us a good idea if it is any good.

    •

Just steel. Need to use them for a long time to find out if the base separates. No one who paid $900 is going to admit to this.

      •

A base splits when you use an extremely high heat. Even essteele can split.

For stainless steel you're meant to use a medium heat only.

        •

So this entire set is not safe to use on high heat!

Cheaper on Amazon with 8% cashback (includes free shipping): https://www.amazon.com.au/Baccarat-Signature-Piece-Cookware-...

  •

    how is the quality?

    • +1 vote

      Eh?

Baccarat is the higher end line -vs- Arcosteel… and Arcosteel is AMAZING value and quality. This deal is literally a no brainer!

These aren't the highest quality pots you can get but for the price and what's included? Hell… remove the price tag and these are VERY usable!

This isn't a case of 'It's great for the price', it's just a case of 'It's great!'

  •

is it similar to the baccarat Capri set? bad review, said food sticks to the pot and turn black etc.

    • +7 votes

That would be due to user error, not the pans itself. These are stainless pans, not non-stick. I would wager a heft sum, that the user who left that review, did not oil/butter the pan sufficiently.

      •

ss sounds so hard to use right
I don't truly get it, why bother vs non stick?

  • +1 vote

Anyone actually owned these before? I'm tempted to buy it but I hate cooking with stainless steel pans usually.

  •

Is 202 stainless steel which is lesser quality.

    • +1 vote

How do you know it's 202?

      •

        says on amazon product info

    •

Much much lesser quality. Please stay clear!!

  • +1 vote

damn, forgot the pickle code. still happy with price.

    • +1 vote

think you can cancel and repurchase!

      •

i'm happy to forgo the $1.50.. more annoyed i forgot qantas points lol

  •

I have used these before, the DH never complained.

+1: I find I have to really coat it with oil and really watch the cooking

Other than that it was a really good pan I loved using it for everyday cooking. Not super high heat searing stuff.

Cheap enough to be camping pots and pans

  •

bought, thanks - now to put them in the pile of shame with the others

  •

Is there really enough stock? I see nearly 400 has been sold already.

  •

Hey guys and gals, how do these compare to IKEA's set

    • +1 vote

The IKEA set is $119 but much better quality. The side of the pots are as thick as the bottom. They are much better to retain heat.

      •

        Thanks hgon23,

I'll go for the IKEA ones, want to get a quality set that'll last me looong time :).

  •

Any one know the sizes on these set please?

    • +1 vote

don't worry, find it on OP's post. thanks

  • +2 votes

I actually just opened the same set from a box sitting in the garage from 10 years ago. If these are the same stainless steel handles the bots are pretty useless as you always need a mitten or towel to touch the shorter handles. Get something with silicon handles.

  •

    thanks op

  •

Does anyone know how to play Bacarat and feel like an ELI5?

  • +1 vote

I have them for couple years now and very durable.

  • +1 vote
  • -2 votes

if you check they have an aluminium bottom which is not good for the health

    • +4 votes

Isn't that just on the base for evenly distributing heat as opposed to the cooking surface?

      • +3 votes

All stainless steel will have an aluminium base layer, generally 6mm.

Otherwise the pan would take like 15 minutes to heat up.

        •

This is definitely not true. Cheap stainless steel is just that.

  •

I must have brought the last one, was out of stock after I check again

    •

      Thanks for that, lol.

  • +3 votes

No more room for extra cookware. Maybe should buy a bigger house to fit this bargain

    • +1 vote

Just remodel your kitchen with the money you saved.

Out of stock on eBay and Amazon, but still showing in stock on Catch: https://www.catch.com.au/product/baccarat-signature-6-piece-...

    Glad I missed this one.
Don't have to worry about cheating on my cupboard full of lodge cast iron.

  •

I've had a set of Baccarat saucepans for 15 years and they get a lot of use. I'm really happy with them and can vouch for the long term durability (at least for my set)

I got my order canceled because apparently it was a price error grrr.

    • +1 vote

Yeah I just got the same email.

    •

      :(

    •

      Same

    • +1 vote

Yep same, have downvoted them on eBay.

How can they be wrong on 3 different sites and take this long to cancel. eBay says 800 sets sold haha, useless.

      • +1 vote

Exactly!! They should honour it - it’s very dodgy

  •

    :(

  • +1 vote

Amazon order was just cancelled too.

  • +3 votes

A pring error on multiple websites isn't a simple error.

  • +7 votes

So a pricing error on ebay, amazon and their own website. resulted in robin's kitchen matching it, which also happens to be a pricing error? at the same price?

    •

Yeps, something sounds suspicious. Like they weren't expecting to be OzBargained.

    •

I think House and Robin's kitchen might be one and the same? Same payment info on PayPal.

      •

        Confident they are

  •

    My Ebay order was cancelled.

  •

Just got an Amazon order cancelled.

I agree with the above comments, same pricing over multiple sites - then cancelling, seems suspicious. I'll be making sure to purchase from House's competitors in the future.

  • +1 vote

    Going to ACCC :p

  •

    eBay order got cancelled

  •

Cancelled. Hope they reinstate the $5 eBay voucher I used (which I received for I-don't-know-what-reason).

  • +4 votes

Just got a cancellation email as well :S
Very unprofessional to not honor the order, take so long to cancel order and then not even bother to process the refunds immediately.
Moreover as MJ1 pointed out they've further disguised a marketing offer of $10 voucher as an apology coupon on selected useless items with prices jacked is just sad.
    Won't be using them anymore!

  •

Cancelled but got $10 voucher They are already offering $10 of, can these be stacked?

  • +1 vote

Cancelled too - never buying from house again! Until they have the next bargain…

  •

Yep, just got the email from Robin's Kitchen eBay. This is an outrage.

To quote Sally Brown: YOU OWE ME RESTITUTIONNNNN!

  • +2 votes

If you have ordered on eBay remember to leave negative feedback to this unethical company.

    •

How do you leave feedback after it's been refunded? I can't see the order in my eBay history anymore.

      • +2 votes

        My eBay -> purchase history
scroll down to cancelled items and on the left should be link for "leave feedback"

        •

First time I've seen that section. Thanks.

    • +2 votes

And of course remember to revoke your vote here, otherwise their OzB reputation is better than it should be

  •

did anyone get a notice of cancellation for cutlery by mistake ?

  •

My Ebay order was cancelled too. price error on house website, robins kitchen, amazon and ebay!

  • +4 votes

My order got cancelled too, they jack up all prices on ebay now!!
Don't forget to leave negative review on ebay/amazon!

  • +1 vote

Mine got canceled too! I am going to find something to buy for that $10 and leave them another negative feedback…

    •

Have you got anything to buy for $10 ? I can’t

    •

Good idea. I’ll do this as well.. i hope their ebay rating goes down to 80% or less

  •

    Refunded mine too.

  •

Would going to ACCC help at all?

  •

Same, order cancelled. I too couldn't see the transaction anymore in my ebay account via the website. I went to the app and was still able to see it there, negative feedback left. I urge everyone else to do the same

  • +1 vote

To leave feedback on Amazon orders: https://www.amazon.com.au/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFu...

They should impact their visibility on the site. More: https://sellercentral.amazon.com.au/gp/help/external/help.ht...

  •

Was also in house yesterday. The warehouse had 1100 available but had over 1200 orders.

So the stock was clearly available.

Around 100-200+ orders would have had to wait for further shipment.

  •

Oh I missed the deal and sorry to see a lot of cancellations. It is such a damage to House if they decide not to honour the genuine orders.

  • +3 votes

PLEASE make sure to leave appropriate feedback. This seller is known for such stunts and shouldn't get away to easy with it.

  • +1 vote

In one day, their rating on ebay are down to 95.6% from 98%… that is awesome guys!! Keep the negatives rolling

    • +1 vote

Amazon down from 90 to 85%. 60% negative in past 3 months.
