A no-brainer here with quite literally $12 free for simply signing up and trialling Apple Music for at least 30 days. Promo is now also available on all Android devices (as of July 30) opening this up to quite a big chunk of users. Note that $12 Cashback is available only on the Family Plan. Individual Plan remains at $8 and Student Plan $1. Increase ends 11:59pm July 31, at which time it reverts to $8 Cashback. Thanks as always for your support. Enjoy :)

Cashback will move from pending to approved at 30 days from signup. If your Apple Music subscription is cancelled prior to 30 days, Cashback will be declined.

Your Apple ID must be a new Apple Music customer that has not taken up a trial previously. If you don't have one, create a new Apple ID and add a payment method (PayPal etc) prior to commencing. The only ways to acquire this cashback is via the methods below.

From an Android device:

  • Visit the Google Play Store and download & install the Apple Music App.
  • Open your mobile browser, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to this page.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From an iPhone/iPad/iPod:

  • Open Settings/Safari and turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
  • Open Safari, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to 'open this page in Music' then this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From a desktop browser (requires iTunes install prior to clicking Cashrewards links):

  • If you haven't done so already, install and open iTunes.
  • Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).
  • Navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to open iTunes.
  • Select Try it now… and you will get this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).

      That's been the great thing about Apple Music for me. That and the fact that Apple Music surprisingly runs a lot better on my phone than Spotify does, despite using an Android. I almost haven't used Spotify at all since getting the free Apple Music tial last time this deal was posted.

      I'd make the switch permanently if only Apple Music gained Chromecast support - not holding my breath for it any time soon but it might be coming, as someone found references to Chromecast in the APK.

          Nah, the last deal cleared fine but for me it's not worth the effort of setting up a new account etc. I'll get my partner to sign up as she already has an apple ID that hasn't been used for AM, she can get the cashback instead.

    If you want to enjoy the full 3 month trial make sure you only cancel it near the end of the trial.
    Cancel it now will immediately cease the trial. Or at lease wait 30 days for the cash back.

    I still have not gotten my cashback for a similar offer (i think it was $11 for 3 month free trial) earlier this month/late last month.     So I have an Apple ID with my email. I have the password. Once I log in it wants an answer for a secruity question, which I don't remember. To reset them however, you must answer a secruity question.

I got the proper image offering the trial (https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/27551/69012/capture.jp…) as per the instructions however after confirming my appstore id and payment details it popped up a little screen saying "This offer is not available. You've already received a free trial. Do you want to buy an Apple Music family membership at $17.99?"

    Hey, so I thought I followed the instructions but I was prompted to confirm my payment method before the trial activated. Has this affected my cashback? I think it's been the second day and I haven't received an email or an entry in my CR account. Thanks for the deal though!

      If it did affect it, no issues at all. Simply lodge a claim here after 7 days ensuring you provide the associated invoice and Apple ID. The support team will take care of the rest.
