As you may have seen we did suffer a Facebook live outage earlier which caused our giveaway to end early. We've read all your feedback and understand many of you didn't have the chance to win cashback.

As a make good, we've organised to double our prize pool to $20,000 with 1259 winners.

    Few questions - Is there a maximum amount of code redemptions per user, or can one person potentially win a $1000 prize and then a $5000 prize or is it limited somehow? And is it instant withdrawal or is there a waiting period like with normal cashback?

    You can win as many times as you can, just be fastest to enter the code! Cash is in your account and withdrawable in 3 days.

      Would be much better if it was 1 prize per person, or at least a game of skill - trivia questions or something.

        Yep so the codes are first come first served, which just leads to overloading of their servers… instead they should have had the winner randomly selected from whomever redeems the code….big fail to create their own denial of service attack, i predict their servers will or have crashed …

        The server that redeems the codes likely crashed under the load… not to mention it's open to abuse - someone could have thrown the whole dictionary at the code redemption system and would be lost in the noise…

        Redemption is via ShopBack app, which failed with "Oops, something went wrong" instead of "Sorry, better luck next time". Facebook only used to live stream the event.

        I certainly care, when CR and SB have the same rates e.g for Amazon, I know which I'll be using in the future, when I used to swap between. Will likely only use SB for the $2 promos now, unless they somehow find some way to turn this event around.

    When there's only a few codes, they all go the skilled and prepared.

    If they had dropped 100 $1 codes all at once, it would have been much more fun. More winners, and less chance of someone taking it all. As it stands, I'm liable to believe that most codes never worked to begin with, and the money has been funneled to a relative or something.

      Yep, can't see any Ozber's marked as having won through this competition. Makes me think those who claimed to have won on Facebook were just bots actually, since a Facebook account is much easier to fake than an Ozbargain one. Either way, this competition leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and is a terrible look for Shopback.

        I think that's just the date the code expires, not the cashback itself. It says, "This reward code has a limited quantity of 50 and will expire when maximum quantity has been redeemed. […] To claim your reward, add your reward code to your account by 15/08/2019."

          Next time do it on Twitch or something since Facebook's live stream delay is different for everyone.
          E.g. for me it could be delayed by 30 seconds but for someone else, it could be 20 seconds

      Pretty poorly planned and managed if I do say so myself. Intrigued as to how you guys plan to distribute the rest of the prize pool, since this was obviously a terrible way to do it.

      As I said earlier, this did nothing good for your brand. You guys need to figure out a better way for the rest.
