  • yes, it's targeted. It doesn't apply to my account.

  • Messing around # ed ordered one by mistake no bonus but learned unbeliable prices there compared to com.au . Won't be in vain .

Same as above : The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase

  • worked on one of my account.

  • Didnt work on any of my or my wifes accounts. Have bought gift cards on at least 2, possibly 3, but im sure the 4th has never. Oh well.

  • The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    Need a blank account

  • Worked for me. Don't think I've ever bought an Amazon gift card before.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Worked for me.

  • is the gift card a code or you email it to someone and then it is tied to their account?

can you send yourself a gift card?

    • I need to find this too?

      • Gift card is a code.you can email it to yourself

  • nope.. code not valid for my US Amazon account, which has a US postal address.

  • Amazon US seems to charge 10% GST now (not on gift cards though) so buying through Amazon AU is generally much cheaper. I used my $50 Amazon gift card to buy a US eshop card. Didn't seem worth it on anything else…

    • +1

Yep they have since opening back up to the AU market last Nov. A lot of stuff cant be had on the AU store. And the global store on Amazon AU is limited. I still buy most of my movies from Amazon US.

      • Sorry, are you saying you're buying from Amazon US and it's getting delivered to Australia? What changed? i.e. How have they gotten around the whole: "Hi Amazon, we're the Australian government - do our job for us by collecting an Australian tax - in the USA" thing?

        • You pay 10% GST at checkout now. But if you buy through Amazon AU you don't pay 10% GST and the shipping is generally cheaper. I think they factor in the item price with the GST but it still ends up being less. Not all items are available on Amazon AU though.

          • @Yuri Lowell: Hm, ok. I happened to try a few weeks ago, but Amazon.com still said, "Cannot ship to your address" at checkout. I'll have another look, thanks.

  • I am not able to use this code even though i have never bought a gift Card from my Amazon us account… do we have to make a us account.. I also tried using my amazon au account on us but didnt work. Any one has advice.

    • I'm not sure, but try logging out of .com.au and login to .com - often I can't get US ebooks without doing that.

  • Worked for me with no issues.

  • Worked for me too and I definitely bought gift cards before! Huh, thanks for posting this.

    • is that a pure amazon us account?

      • I opened it when I lived in the US but I've been using it in Australia since I moved here a while back.

  • I managed to enter the code at checkout, but I had to go back to my cart. I proceeded to checkout again and re-entered the code, but now it says 'the promotional code you entered has already been redeemed'. Wtf?

  • Worked for me… will use for the Black Friday sales

  • I got a "promotional code has been applied successfully" (or message to that effect) when I checked out on mobile, but there was no actual mention of what the code did, or anything about $15 credit being applied to my account, so now I'm unsure if it actually worked. No mention of the promotion in the followup email either. Is there any way to check that it worked apart from waiting for the credit to come through?

    • It came through, $15 credit applied.

  • What are people buying on Amazon.com? Haven't used it since Joining Prime…

    • for me - it will be buying Blu-ray titles that SADLY and STUPIDLY aren't available to get via the link to Amazon AU (there's a lot of titles that can be purchased, and thus, get free shipping via the AU site.. however there are still a lot that you just can't get - suspect rights issues)

But I'll wait to the Black Friday sales.

… but lets check that the $15 credit comes thru as well !!!

    • Giantbboxes of nappies and toilet paper

  • Just got my promotional credit added to my account after purchasing the gift card.

Confirmed expiry of the credit is February 6, 2020

  • It didn't work for me but I got offered a prime membership trial which I already did once.

  • Bugger does not work for me

  • Got email…. not sure where it shows as credit…

Same here. Received the same email but can't see the $15 credit listed in the Gift Card breakdown under Account. So I went to place a dummy order and it was show during checkout.

      • thanks for that…… will use it come Black Friday…..

  • Is the bonus $15 instant or does it take up to 3 days as specified in you order?
