do you think i7 8700 non-k is better than zen2 3700x? if not, why you post this?

    • +3

I do. One needs a GPU, the other doesn't.

      • -3

the guy using i7 8/9xxx normally match it with gtx/rtx x070 or better gpu…for office work full-voltage i5 is overkill alreay

        • +2

          Not all workloads require GPU.

          • -5

@askbargain: no one discussing built-in GPU …. the point is for that price also the Intel 10nm cpu is coming, the post is not deal and not feasible to be shown here; this is ozb , not the stage for advertisement.

            • @pc6673: intel 10nm cpu for desktop isn't coming anytime soon

              • -4

@dcep: you know this is not deal, but still keep arguing…did u see so many i7 9700K deals around 480 bucks recently, or I could say welcome to ozb ?

                • @pc6673: R U OK ?

intel 10nm cpu for desktop isn't coming anytime soon

                • +4

@pc6673: i think you need to chill out dude. take a step back. is this deal cheap than other shops selling these items? yes it is. are there some people upgrading from say an i3 that may find this useful? absolutely? does this deal belong on ozB? yes it probably does.

if you commented i think a more worthwhile purchase is a zen2 /3000 series processor because it has a more viable upgrade path excellent performance compared to these locked parts than saying this deal has no place people may have been more receptive to your imput. im sure people would appreciate buying advice more than some amd fanboyism. fact if the matter is there are almost no such things as bad products even these locked parts only bad prices so a price drop on something like this which many would see as a less compelling purchase does make it more attractive.

            • @pc6673: You claimed that the 3700X is better than 8700. I just said that one has an iGPU, so maybe stop comparing apples to oranges.

the point is for that price also the Intel 10nm cpu is coming

Okay Karen, you are entitled to your own opinion, but you can't force someone to change their price based on something that hasn't even released.

              @pc6673: Hi @pc6673,

A 25% difference in price is considerably lower than our market competitors, hence, making it a deal,
Ozbargain does boost our traffic and sales as it does for any other deal,
We feel you downvote is personal instead of regarding the bargain,
We kindly request for you to reevaluate your downvote as this affects our company as a whole,

              Kind Regards

@CGB Solutions: I feel like you guys shouldn't be depending on Ozb to keep your company afloat. Still, half-decent deal.

          • +1

@askbargain: built in gpu is fine for the cad and video editing and transcoding that i do, i don’t need fast frame rates like gamers, just no lag in mouse movements and image resizing, and when fast image compressing or format transcoding.

built in gpu in gen 8 works fine for me at 30 fps on hdmi.

  • would rather free shipping than a mouse pad

    • +3

@phunkydude Promotional Items like the one above doesn't affect the cost of the product,

These promotional items are items we have picked up for free with past bulk purchasing

If you know a code for free shipping for our website they will work for these products

  • How does the 8500 compare to the 9400? 9400f would probably be the better option if you don't need the iGPU, 2600 an even better one if you want to OC.

If you don't need the iGPU, a 3600 will definitely be a better option then the 8700.

  • Tray model, so pretested and all the fast ones taken.

    • @rifter They are pretested to ensure they're in working condition,

The CPU you will receive will be random,

Of course we use some stock ourselves but we aren't biassed towards ourselves as this sought of service is not what we are about,

      Regards

      OP

    • +1

Since they're not unlocked and are unable to be overclocked, I don't see how all the fast ones could have been taken. They should all be the same speed.

    • +1

      Binning locked SKUs, riiiiiight.

Or wait, maybe they could bin for undervolting potential. 'All the best undervolters taken' T_T

      • @sensys We don't undertake unfair practices,

All CPU shipments are like any other,

        Regards

CGB, yes, I understand, my comment was mocking the earlier one accusing you of binning non-overclockable CPUs for your own benefit. You guys seem to cop some hostility here, and it irks me, especially when it's so ill-informed.
