  • Great price thanks for sharing

  • Thanks OP, got a case. 3.5% cashback too.

  • Hi OP, can you store white wine long for cooking? cheers

    • No need to store for cooking, just get a cheaper white bottle such as as you need it.

You could use this wine, but would not taste difference with cheaper wine.

Generally Sauvignon blanc is not cellar-ed long and enjoyed fresh and young.

Thanks man, does a cheaper white wine last long, I thought they only last a few days once opened? cheers

        • When you mentioned "store" I thought you meant like cellaring wine ( keeping unopened ) for months or years.

White wine will stay nicely drinkable if you screw cap/put cork on etc for around 5-10 days in the fridge, longer if you have a pump gadget to suck out/extract air from bottle and leave in fridge, up to 2 weeks for drinking.

For cooking purposes you can add at least 1-2 weeks on that if stored cold in fridge with cap on.

This is why many people buy a decent 2lt./4lt. wine cask as you have longer to use this up because the wine is in the bladder like a vacuum, but when room temp is warm/hot better still keep in fridge or cellar etc.

@ozhunter68: Thank you, I will go to Dan Murphy's and buy a packaged white wine, I only use it for cooking. Thank you

  • Going by customer reviews seems like a bit of a love hate wine.

For this special price below $10 def worth a shot, especially if you like a zesty crisp young N.Z Sav. Blanc.
