price on title. have you checked if yours (afer disc) are cheaper than bunning, gearbest, aliexpress, ebay, mitre10, etc etc etc?

before I check the prices, OP are there any locks compliant with Strata regulations?

    • The SHS-DP728 Push & Pull locks are compliant with strata regulations

      • I've been informed that all lock used in strata building must be fire rated. Is this locks are fire rated?

I've been waiting for this Samsung SHS-DP728 to be fire rated, so I can buy and change my apartment existing locks…

This statement could be construed as an acl breach anything over 14m are required to be 2 hour fire rated. Can you supply the testing cert?

Not as simple as getting a lock fire rated. Its a combination of a specific door, closer, mortice and handles. If you anything you install doesnt match the test cert its not certified. The test costs about 10k btw

    First one i checked was https://www.lectory.com.au/p/Samsung-Digital-Smart-Rim-Lock-… - $429 ($407.55 with 5% discount)

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/samsung-smart-bluetooth-rim-lock… - $249

I gave up at that…. I actually have this one myself (bought from Bunnings last year @ aprox $295), would recommend.

yeah typical new store, they think they can just advertise here to get good names buat actually now people will associate them with high price and avoid.. hahaha total failure marketing. they spend time to make them self looks bad.

hey harry, that samsung $249. so do you use it on your front door? is that the only thing you have on your door or you still have other lock? (which is kind of pointless as you still need to carry physical key)?

      • +1

I have a similar one just different shape and no bluetooth (old model rectangle instead of round) so I could say yes, that and a handle (obviously :)) are the things on your door, no other lock needed:)

      • +1

Yeah, i just use this one in combination with a door handle. I also have another model (SHP-DS510 XMK) on a different entry door that is a proper deadlock, the point is that you can use the same key tag to gain entry at multiple points. Or you can set pin codes. Would recommend SHP-DS510 XMK if that suits your door frame

        • Ah I see now the difference between rim lock and deadlock. Yes agree ds510 maybe best for main door.

  • Most of the products sold can be found much cheaper at Bunnings.

  • What model is actually for sale ?

  • +5

Title gave me the impression you can get a fingerprint model starting at $234.65. Actual cheapest fingerprint model on the site is $778.

    • Thanks for pointing it out, just revised the post.

      • Samsung Smart Digital Door Lock from $234.65 Fingerprint/ Bluetooth/ Wi-Fi - 5% off /W Coupon + Free Shipping

Where is this Samsung fingerprint/BT/Wifi model starting at $234.65?

  • Yeah this post is a scam.

  • Edit: disregard

    • You missing the title, the price + 5% discount + free shipping.

  • Hi rep

Ate these water proof not just weather proof?

  • Bro, I can get these half price from eBay. Shipped from Korea.

    • Yes, but these are not authorized to be used in Australia.

If you try to link with your phone on Bluetooth and Wifi feature will not work because the code is not registered with Samsung Australia.

If you not using any of the smart function then yes, it's cheaper on eBay.

      • Bluetooth works for me.

The $234.65 lock appears to be sold at Bunnings for $199. Am I missing something?

I have one of the push pull lock on front door.

The glass panel cracks with heat from sunshine

So if your door lock will get hit with direct sunlight, maybe think again. Unless they have strengthened this area.

Mine was bought from bunnings 4 years ago

Ps: these are sometimes a bit hard to install as it requires you to dig a pretty big hole for the lock.
