I own one like yours without the timer, great heater, only issue is mine is now making a ticking noise when on
You can get silent digital countdown timers for $10 bucks or so. The advantage is you can use it in winter with a heater, then summer with a fan.
I noticed a couple of wall heaters 1/2 price at Bunnings Glendale on the weekend.
I was just there and noticed there were only the 'thermo' heaters there, not the vento. Are they the same thing? I am confused

this bunnings had 3 paslode packs for $850(-$450)each the other day. missed it by seconds. also had a makita 9piece for $600 (-$400)
Just be mindful of the power these will chew through. They do have their place though, but are expensive to run, as are all plug in electric heaters.
Yes. If you have it, then use your reverse cycle AC on heating mode. It will use about half the power to do the same job.
More like 1/5 of the power if the units are modern and have COP of 5 or more.
I wasn't aware of any with a 500% efficiency. When I looked into it recently I thought most standalone heat pumps were only about 300% - but I'm no expert.
@macrocephalic: Yeah they are getting more efficient all the time, especially smaller units like 2.5kw that would go into rooms like bedrooms.

Grabbed one of these a while back at full price. Very happy with it, the only thing we would have liked is a timer.
