      Just did a mock try, 28 Degrees worked for me. Although I agree that the price is higher via the portal, as in the discount only put price to parity VS other cheaper price portal/method (e.g. via Google Maps/Hotel search).

    Depends, there are good deals but you have to compare against hotelscombined to see if there are cheaper deals for your particular hotel.

  Same thing here. Same hotel with the link is about 10-11% more expensive than without the link.

  i just used the amex link. tested both the normal and the amex and prices were the same for both pre the final payment stage whereupon the amex gave me the 10% off

  For my booking it was cheaper with Amex than without (ie the prices were the same then I got 10% off).

  Didn't work for me.
  The price for my hotel didn't change, even right to the end of the booking process and entered in the credit card details etc.
  I should add that even the hotel in question came up first when I clicked on the link, implying that it's part of the promotion. No such luck
