Kogan Mobile Buy One Get One Free Plans

Hi first time poster hope I’ve done this properly. Just wanted to know if this is a good deal? It’s the buy one get one free plans https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co…
It’s works out to be $13.32 per person per month for 13GB per month. Hoping to get both my sons on this plan. If it isn’t a good deal does anyone know of any good plans pre or post paid?? I’ve tried looking at other plans but this seems to the best deal for two people. Just thought the experts here would be better than me scoping out any great deals. Thanks heaps and please be kind :)

This is better for you, and you don’t have to move to poor quality Optus reception too.

    • Ugh unfortunately it says that it’s no longer available. Thanks anyway! I gotta be quicker!

      • It says it’s available to me right now.

        • Hi just purchased two of these! The link took me to app and it said it wasn’t available. When searched for it in the browser I found it. Thanks for your help!

    1. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/453211
    2. Place each order separately, and order 1 spare SIM for each person.
    3. Anything up to a couple of hours later, activation code/s will be sent to your email address - keep them. The SIMs come in mail ~7-10 days later.
    4. Once SIMs arrive, activate each SIM, giving each one a DIFFERENT pin code to the others when prompted - or you could have trouble logging in later.
    5. As you create each new account, login and turn off its automatic billing, and remove your credit card details. (So you won't be automatically charged on day 31.)
    6. On the last day goto step 1. You don't need to get spare SIM/s this time though. But this time, once the code/s arrive in your inbox, you can use it/them to activate the spare SIM/s you ordered back at step 2. Activate it/them after midnight on the last day the first lot of SIMs expire (or the next morning/whatever).

The only 'problem' is you can't port a phone number you want to keep. i.e. You could port in the first time, use the first bunch of SIMs for month 1, but you'd then have to port out somewhere else for a month before bringing that same number back to Kogan again.

The solution to that is just accept the new phone number on the back of the SIM packs - and text everyone in your phone the new number. If they get sick of you changing numbers every month, then they weren't worth talking to anyway. Better to save $$$ and get to filter out fake friends earlier. ;-D

  • Wow! That’s heaps useful information! Thank you! Unfortunately the deal isn’t there anymore. What do you think of the $4.90 catchconnect sim?

It’s says it recharges at $35 after the first month. Which means $70 for the two boys per month. Not such a great deal compared to the Kogan buy one get one free. Where it’s $26 per month for the two boys. Right? I seriously don’t know what I’m doing. 😂
