    if he has the originals (i.e. Mono pressing of Sgt. Peppers) I'd suggest getting him the Stereo pressing of that over Past Masters.

    it'll be like hearing it for the first time again.

    edit: there was a stereo pressing released in '67 but the mono cut is generally preferred. This new stereo mix is different.
