  • Seems pretty good… anyone used this mob before?

    • +7

Yes loads of times, roasted on a monday posted on tuesday (generally) - they are very good, been my ozbargain coffee bean of choice for a year now

  • Ahhh I was waiting for this and had to buy beans from my local roaster cause it didn't come through it time.

  • Subscription only and minimum 500G bag once every 4 weeks

    • You can manually extend next delivery as much as you want. Not sure the 50% off will get applied tho.

  • Any recommendations? I tried the Porter St and it was quite enjoyable. Are the espresso single origin beans worth trying?

    • I started with the Single O and moved onto the Porter St. I enjoyed the Single O but don't think it's worth the difference in price.

      • Yeah I'm not a coffee fanatic either and I really enjoyed porter St. I think I'll stick to the good cheaper stuff.

        • +1

Porter St is the pick although it needs to rest for about 10 days post roast date

    • +2

Try the trailblazer. Better than Porter St.

      • Went with the Porter St already but I might try the trailblazer next.

  • Anyone tried setting up a new account where you have previously used a discount code on a subscriptions? Any issues using the same delivery address?

    • +1

Just cancel the old subscription, then make a new subscription all on the same account. I do it every month

    • +1

Not sure about how cool it is taking advantage of a Bcorp

  • Just to confirm then. If I get 2 x 500g every 4 weeks then I'll get 3 of them half price?

    • +1

Correct, then you need to cancel and wait for another promo ;)

  • Can I start with a grind and change to beans for the next delivery and keep the half price offer? I'm still needing to buy a grinder but will when the next Breville Pro deal comes on.

    • yeah its essentially 50% off the next 3 delivery

ive completely swapped out beans and pushed out deliveries by 2 months once

  • I'll give it a crack.

    • +1

      or two.

  • +1

Do we need to stick with the same coffee type for the sub? Ie, is it possible to try a new one each time using this deal?

    • +2

Can change the coffee for each delivery

      • Perfect, thanks!

  • Thanks. Somehow the decaf is even cheaper than the house blend.

  • Thanks OP! Ordered :)
Anyone who is picky with home brewing have settings for the Porter st blend? 93deg or hotter?

    • I prefer 96deg
      It’s nice and strong/intense.
93 is okay, just not quite the oomph I’m after

Yep, I’m using porter st beans

  • I'm confused, I'm interested in the single origin subscription but when you go to the three single origin espressos on sale they all say the following. So if it's not those then which ones are they?

"This product is a once off item and is not connected to subscriptions"

    • From https://shop.pabloandrustys.com.au/products/home-subscriptio…

You have to choose Single Origin from the options there, rather than going to the actual single origin bean sales page.

      • Yeah, understood. But what single origin do I get? The other subscriptions are not a surprise but single origins must be? Anyone tried that subscription and was it worth it over the Porter?

        • +1

I've tried the single origin a couple of times (~6 deliveries/12 bags total), not the Porter.

You don't know what it's going to be in advance. The 500g option is 2 different bags. Sometimes it's the same ones two times in a row, sometimes one the same, one different, sometimes both different.

I found it really frustrating to be honest. No way of knowing if the next delivery will be to your taste or not. Given the bags are only 250g, having to dial in every new bag is a pain in the arse, especially when you get single origins A&B in one delivery then A&C in the next one so you're wasting the same beans twice to flush the grinder and dial it back in (when there would be no need if they actually said what they were going to be sending).

I've gone back to buying from local roasters - supports local business and I can actually choose what and when I get my coffee. More expensive than half-price P&R, but the coffee is better anyway.

  • Yay perfect timing!

  • Good stuff. Porter St my favourite. Well balanced

  • Porter St any good for blacks? The description makes it sounds like it's made to be had with milk coffees.

    • Don't be so racist.

  • "Discount - code promo
    COFFEE08
Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered"

    Has this expired already?

    • seems to have which is annoying because it stated 31st of aug

      • They may have been slammed from Ozb.

They reserve the right to disable discount codes in their T&Cs.

We'll just have to wait until September's code!

        • I asked them about it and they confirmed that the code has 'expired' due to the upcoming Amazon deal.

    • Seems like it, whelp guess I'm going to Dane coffee

  • Anyone received/know the new code for September?

  • Yeah anyone? @peanut money

  • I certainly havnt had a September code let alone email

  • +1

    Is this deal done for?

  • Anyone seen a new code for September yet?

    • +1

No I emailed them and they said they hadn't for September yet but to follow their socials an newsletters.
