Cheap Burner Phone and Plan

Last topic I found regarding this was from 2016, however I think this could be helpful to many.

What burner phone + prepaid / plan combination do use?

How often do you change your numbers?

I'm thinking about using it for: claiming sign up offers which are linked to phones / numbers, 7-11 fuel, gumtree etc where.

Basically everywhere you don't want to have a company or person know about your real number.

Currently Coles sells Amaysim $10 prepaid sim cards for $3 which you could use for a month rinse and repeat.

Unsure if a new cheapo phone or a used Android from Gumtree would be the better option.

    buy yourself a decent dual sim so you only have to lug around one phone.

    use the aldi $5 sim for 365 coverage.

      Are there any services that also link to the IMEI and not just to the phone number which would require a seperate device?

    Always good to use a new number when looking for work or trying to switch jobs.

    Those head hunters keep coming after a while and get really annoying. Low ball figures too. ;-(

    I guess it depends on what you need to do on your burner phone. Some dumb phones can be had from the supermarkets from time to time for $29. I would just use an old phone. As for plans, you can get the Groupon specials on Amaysim/Vaya/Kogan for a few months for under $10.

      I've checked Groupon for the same plan actually. Currently nothing unfortunately.

      As for old phones I actually don't have one as I always sell my old phone when buying a new one.
