Do you know the expired date?

    • +3

      why is this negged?

      i have the same question

  • Awesome, thanks OP.

Great beer and great price! I just ordered 2 slabs off boozebud with the $10 groupon voucher. Took it down to $90

I was sick of paying $70 a carton. I was pissed one night and bought a carton for $96 that was the last time haha

    • So you were pissed already and you went and bought a carton for $96?

      • +1

        That is correct.
Sober Adam would have just got a 6 pack. But drunk Adam was thinking about the next day. (Was a Friday night)

        • You differentiate between carton & slab?

    • Are they on special for this price on boozebud?

  • Thankyou - picked one up for papa.

  • Mmm the real deal, time to stock up

  • Ffrkk missed it i think

  • Just got two, tempted to get another for my baby's 1st birthday party :P

Are these really that much better than the bottled version?

I picked up a slab of the bottled version (brewed in Aus) last week and don't mind it.

    • +3

Bottled (canned) in Japan means that you are getting the authentic stuff. But the best bit is that these are 500ml and the bottles are only 330ml.

    • +1

Dont know why you're getting downvoted for just asking a question, would also like to know as i love the bottled stuff but havent tried the canned ones

      • +3

The canned are far, far superior imo and I’d be very surprised if anyone thought otherwise. I don’t drink that much beer, but could tell when I’m drinking Japanese Asahi compared to something else. The bottled stuff may as well be a different brand. Not saying I think it’s bad, rather the canned are simply a higher quality.

        • cheers, definitely picking up a case then

        • +1

          Yep. Same with Heineken too.

there are perhaps 6 - 9 original Asahi breweries in Japan, with various international licence copies made all over the globe … one of the northern european versions is supposed to be quite good, and i personally enjoy the Thai (barrel/tap) brew immensely.
The Beijing licence (that's what we are sold in the bottled form here in Australia) is rated the very worst of the bunch.

          • @mutantx: Dan Murphys stock the Chinese bottles.
Just FYI for anyone looking around for some.

      Bottled ones are NASTY.

      Canned is where it's at!

I would like to C&C at my nearest store.
The store is available on their own website, but not on their ebay C&C list…
    Why is that…….

    • Mines says its available for c&c but when I go to pay it says it's expired or unavailable.

      Suppose the databases aren't updated

  • Perfect timing, I owed someone a slab. Cheers OP.

    • Thanks I’ll come by later tonight to pick it up from you.

      • "Say my name"

  • No shipping to Tas :(

  • Luckily no stores near me have any stock, my wife would have killed me if I bought anymore booze!

  • C&C Shows available in all stores of ACT but ends up with an error upon confirming payment, had to do shipping even though the nearest store is 200m away.

    • Yeah I had the same issue, lucky for free shipping. :-)

      • Weird, I just did mine PU and it worked fine .. did you confirm payment details etc?

        • Yup, it was saying that the seller no longer has the item in stock when I attempted to C&C. I've got free shipping w/ eBay plus anyway so it still works out!

    • I got C&C in Belco no problems.

      • We’re you able to pick yours up? I tried to get mine today with no luck - none in stock. I knew I should have tried yesterday but couldn’t unfortunately

        • If you ordered and paid for C&C, you have to wait for them to tell you it's ready for pick up.

          • @Mattapie: I went in to pick up a seperate order and asked about it.. they said they told HQ no stock and I should have gotten a message..

Hopefully they send out more stock and I get it?

            • @k-rokfm: You'll be all good, I only got my notice today. They'll just be getting sent stock from elsewhere.

  • pickup didn't work, but shipping with plus did :D

Can someone link the BWS deal? Can't seem to find it.

    • It wasnt a 'deal' as such .. It was a promo code for wine that ended up working for everything

  • Never tried this before but got caught up in the all the excitement and positivity here, so grabbed a carton…nothing ventured nothing gained!

  • +1

    Error when I choose C&C
    Anyone has the same issue?

    • yeah same, it's weird. shipping worked though

    • same issue here

    • same couldn't click and collect at any store.. but delivery worked

  • So I got it for $53.60 and says that price on my ebay transaction but Paypal shows $73.95 taken from my account…

Edit: My bad. Thats total including Ebays contribution

  • I would give a plus if I hadn't missed it.

  • Damn it, I'm nearly out too… Oh well

I am just a bit afraid to tell, but are you guys not scared of radiation contamination?

    https://nuclear-news.net/tag/fukushima-radiation/

They are planting rice and all the vegitables just beside where they dumped radiation contaminated waste. Obviously, that black plastic bag would not cut off the radiation for sure.

    • If it was actually radioactive, it wouldn't be sold. Do you really think they will allow that crap on an international market for such a massive corporation.

      • Since Fukishima nuclear disaster(level 7 nuclear accident, same as Chernobyl nuclear accident) happens Japanese goverment has changed their standards and regulation of radiation exposure increased by 20~100 times. Technically, it is not illegal to be sold.

It is probably not a big deal, well I hops so. I trust in Australian import regulation.

  • Has anyone thats done C&C gone in and they havent had stock?

  • I've just received a notice from First Choice Liquor.

"Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming demand for the Asahi Super Dry Cans, there has been a delay with your order. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused."

    • I ordered with eBay Plus and had a guaranteed delivery date. I'm new to eBay Plus but since it's now late, do I get reimbursed anything?

      • contact ebay, i believe you'll receive a $10 voucher.
