    This or Mipad 4 plus?

Unless Xiaomi has an authorised distribution network in Australia and it is covered under Australian warranty, I would go for this (even if it was 50% more expensive).

    • I had the 8 inch Mi Pad 4. It's excellent hardware for the money but the bloat is terrible!

      • Bloat? What's that?

          Preinstalled apps/software from the manufacturer.

At the current exchange rate I would absolutely get the s5e

    • Neither. Review of this tablet is pretty bad. Performance is sluggish and 4GB RAM is not sufficient. I would avoid this.

      Edit: gsmarena review: https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_s5e-review-1962p3.…

      • I found it pretty nippy for general use, fantastic screen and decent speakers too. Also light. I would happily buy another. If your doing incredibly intensive tasks, a tablet isn't what you want really.

All I do is watch movies and Youtube. This has huge screen and big stereo sound!

        Performance is sluggish

What?! This thing is so smooth! My last tablet was the 2019 Galaxy Tab 10.1. That was sluggish. This is butter compared to that!

  • Is the 128GB 6GB variant with the extra $80

  • This or Lenovo P10 (around 350 at Melbourne QV currently)

    • This is a better tablet (SAMOLED is hard to beat) though the Lenovo p10 is probably 80% as good depends on your use case. Whether it is worth the price difference is personal. Both Lenovo and Samsung usually offer 2 major updates (if lucky).

  • Wouldn't the 2018 (6th gen) ipad be better at the $400-ish price point.

Ima andorid guy, but I got a ipad for $400 from USA and it's way better then any droid I've used. (except maybe the nexus 7 2nd gen)

    • My 2014 Samsung 10.1 is still running snappy and compatible with any media apps
I wouldn't think Apple would do the same with slowing down software..

But if you're looking to keep the device for 2 years ish then yeah, I'd go for the iPad.

  • Seems like back in stock…

  • I bought the 128gb 6gb version for around the same price on a previous deal. Pretty happy with it. Perfect for a few a mobile games and media consumption

Would of been better if it had a SD710 SoC
