LG 65" SM9450 4K LED TV $1917 + Delivery (Free Pick-up) @ The Good Guys

90

I'm not sure how good this TV is, but it's certainly an awesome deal. This is the 2019 model and HN has this for the "bargain" price of $3195.

Well..it should be cheaper than a 65" oled which is $2600ish. So 40% off is something I'd have to challenge

    • 55" I think you mean. A 65" LG OLED is usually around $3000-$3500.

Either way, I would spend the extra and get the OLED, im my opinion its worth the extra cost.

      • must admit after i saw juttoreply's comement i had a look thinking i'll buy one for 2600 yep cheapest is over 3k that i could find.

      • No. 65" is 2600ish on sale. And this is on sale too. Comparable.

The discounts on the 65" have been coming in more lately. But I'm not limiting my comment to LG

        • Now I understand, the Panasonic is the old discontinued model, its heavily discounted to get rid of stock. There are are no cheaper LG B8 65" models left.

@FuRyZ: Yeah usually 1 gen old. There's not much diff in generations with LG, dunno about the other brands

            • @justtoreply: Yeah, not very familiar with the other OLED manufacturuers either, so cant say what the major differences between the FZ950 and FZ1000 are either.

              • @FuRyZ: The main difference is Dolby Vision and I believe faster processor :)

  • would you guys consider this or Hisense 65R8 for $1539? I note that R8 only has edge litting

    • Both of these models are good choices at those price points. Although like you said the R8 is edge lit whereas the sm9450 is fully backlit and is the closest you can get to an OLED without actually getting an OLED. Another factor would be the UI where the LG AI ThinQ UI is much more intuitive and miles ahead of the VIDAA UI that Hisense has. I couldn't find a direct comparison anywhere so that's it from me.But I personally would pay a bit more and get an OLED nyws.

      • thanks & I also did consider that LG will have AirPlay 2 support. $1,821.15 (after 5% gift card discount) vs $2.5k + for OLED hmmmmm

  • A high end IPS TV is a very specific requirement. Great if you have a constantly bright room and wide viewing angles.

Thanks mate in the market for a new TV this weekend tossing up between a QLED and OLED what do you think?
Maybe they are clearing it? HN have the same price

    • Oled demolishes qled in every aspect but brightness. Hands down get an oled!
