Greetings everyone, I just noticed that Cashrewards have increased the cashback for Apple Music back again up to $12 :)

I personally took up this offer on the first offering and didn't have an issue whatsoever with the tracking or payment.

Make sure you sign up to the Family Trial to be eligible for cashback.

Below is the information from the original deal to assist with the process :)

From an Android device:

  • Visit the Google Play Store and download & install the Apple Music App.
  • Open your mobile browser, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to this page.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From an iPhone/iPad/iPod:

  • Open Settings/Safari and turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
  • Open Safari, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to 'open this page in Music' then this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From a desktop browser (requires iTunes install prior to clicking Cashrewards links):

  • If you haven't done so already, install and open iTunes.
  • Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).
  • Navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to open iTunes.
  • Select Try it now… and you will get this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

Note: On desktop/laptop via any browser, click 'Shop Now' and open the iTunes program when prompted. On iPhone/iPad via mobile browser, click 'Shop Now' and open the Music App when prompted. Select your free 3-month trial plan of choice.

Cashback on Apple Music Trial is a one-off payment and for new subscribers only.

Cashback will move from pending to approved at 30 days from signup. If your Apple Music subscription is cancelled prior to 30 days, Cashback will be declined.

    So with the date of cash back approval and subscription renewal borderline, can we expect to have to be charged another month to qualify?

      The free trial lasts for 3 months, so there will be no issue cancelling after 30 days and still being within the free trial, hence not having anything to pay and receiving $12 cashback paid out before you have cancelled.

        That just refers to new Apple Music subscribers, not new CR subscribers :)

          Ah OK :). So even if you got the bonus last time, you can use the same CR account if you're signing up for a apple subscription for someone else, presumably in your household etc.

          Would using the same card details (assuming it asks for this) for the apple account work?

    Anyone know why they do this? Friends don’t wanna start trial as they believe it must be a scam as they give free money for just signing up for a trial.

    Apple music told me there was an error the first few times, so I clicked through via cashrewards several times over the next few hours until it worked. I've probably stuffed up the click tracking by doing that, haven't I?

    So… I’m a paying Apple Music Customer and have been already debating whether to upgrade to Family sharing so it doesn’t cut out when 2 people play at the same time… anyone know if I’d be eligible for cashback or is that too good to be true?

      You're no longer a new customer so you wouldn't be eligible for the free trial; hence no eligibility for the cashback either. Sorry mate!

    Do I need to have an Apple ID before I go through this process? Or can I start the process from CashRewards and create an Apple ID while finalising everything and still receive the cashback?

      I would say create an Apple ID beforehand and sign in just to be safe. Either way you'd have to do it.
