          NEW(ly Refurbished)

    • This is an Awesome Tv - I own one of this and a Sony Bravia. I paid nearly $5k 2 months back at HN.This is Far better than bravia. Its well worth this price. The remote itself has TV on it (So that you can watch your favorite programmes remotly) I like its stainless steel finish and add beauty to my lounge.

      • kewl storeh brah!

      • Which Sony did you get? I got the HX925 and it's pretty nice. Was tossing up between it and the Samsung UA55D8000… really wanted the Panasonic VT30 but it's not out here until August.

Its KDL55EX720 - 55" EX720 Series BRAVIA Full HD 3D TV. Its okay.. but Samsung have more crispier image and i like the samsung quality more than sony - just a personal review.

Its actually down from $9999, so saving of $6400 or 64.1%, which is very similar to a deal that COTD had a few weeks ago.
Yes the price will drop down but not extremely and not that quickly either. Everything looses value as time goes by, TV's included.

Personally, if i was looking to spend that kind of money on a TV, I'd rather look at new Samsung model UA55D8000 which is round about the same price as well.

    • rrps are pretty much meanlingless for anything but newly released items.

    • +1

      Yeah, sure, $9,999.

But other online retailers are selling it for $3,850 (link).

    • removed misread comment*
  • IIRC, with this TV, you can change channel from any where in the house, because the remote is wifi. Also, I think you can watch TV on the remote too… IIRC…

    • yes you can, although its downed to 720p…although u can just download the Samsung Remote App for Android (and maybe ios) to control the tv as well, but no streaming…

    • Yes you can… I always carry it to toilet though..lol :)

I cannot wait until the 65 inch LED TVs arrive in September!

  • Its not just about inches. Series 9 is the best you can get.

    • Its not just about inches

^ that's not what she said

    • yeah and the thinnest i have ever seen too.. pity my mate has it and thinking if i should get that or the 8 series… series 9 has the best led lcd quality i have seen compared to the sony but cant pass the one on ebay.. would have got a nice series 8 for $3200 on ebay but the series 9 at $3600 brand new is a steal!

Does this include the buyer's premium? Normally that's another 15%.

  • i purchased a 'new' tv from Grays 2 months ago… tv ended up being refurb! got it returned only to wait 14 working days on refund! the same tv was on ebay - brand new sony with free delivery for extra $20 - should have bought it then - but missed out on that :\

this guy on ebay is selling a brand new with free delivery - better then grays in my opinion:

  • I wonder what happen to Samsumg serie 9 . Their website not are no longer promote series 9 .

    • probably a mix of they had limited stock to start with and it will not be their flagship model once the 65" LED's arrive…..

    • they may have removed from the oz website but still available internationally… i guess this became the pioneer lx series plasmas… people couldnt afford such luxury so samsung have limited/ceased om this in australia looks like…

      • They will never be like the pioneer lx series, those are part of the holy grail :P

  • Holy crap, that's a thin screen.

I thought the side view was some sort of antenna.
