Current Real Estate Agent Sold His Book to Another Agent - What Are My Rights?

My real estate agent looking after my property sold his book to another RE Agent.

What are my rights? Do I have to stay with the current RE Agent? I have yet to sign the new contract

New RE Agent seems incompetent vs previous. I would always have to chase him for any reply (voicemail and email).

He would always promise over the phone and agree on a particular timeline. When the deadline is up, I follow up and he says that he's "On it"

I have just signed a normal Real Estate contract - is there any clauses that I need to look at?

I am based in NSW

Thanks in advance

Just move to other REA. There shouldn't be penalty may be only 1 month notice?

You really need to read your contract with the agent. Any advice given without the benefit of the contract is the blind leading the blind.

If you're going to change, make sure you're not an a hole about it. The old agent should give the files/tenant information to the new agent and if you've been a Butthead, guarantee he'll drag his feet to do it or not give Everything

When my agent sold their books to another agency I had to enter into a new agency agreement. Whats the notice period on your existing agreement? Find a new agent and give the required notice.

More than ten years ago they were worth about $2000+ each. A nice little retirement earner.
