Except those who have smart devices or don't like to carry cables, not many should use 5W wireless charging…

    • Why is that so?

      • +5

        Too slow

  • thanks, bought couple, needed fresh portable chargers.

  • FYI, aldi had a 10W - 10000mah wireless charger on special buys recently. I've tried it, works quite well.

    • Oh wow, when was that? And how much?

      • +6

Not sure how this battery can't input (get charged) as fast or faster, than it can output (charge devices).
Besides, 11W wired and 5W wireless are pretty slow by today's standards. This is 2013-2015 speeds.
It really makes a "quality of life" improvement when you step up to something like 30W fast-charging.

        • Not sure how this battery can't input (get charged) as fast or faster, than it can output (charge devices).

Many external batteries give a maximum of 2.4 Amps of current resulting in a maximum of 12 Watts of power. However, some power banks and battery cases only allow 5 Watts of input power to charge the device. If you have a large power bank with a great deal of capacity in milliamp hours, then it could 120% longer to charge it than one that allows 12 Watts of input power.

      • I think it was last wednesday, should still be around if you look for it.

      • Aldi one was $29.99

Just fwiw, I purchased the $29 Kogan one earlier today taking advantage of the free delivery atmo.
Hoping it charges Wireless Apple Gen2 AirPods.

As long as it's got the wireless charging case otherwise it won't work.

      • Airpod wireless charging case can be charged with any Qi charger or only Apple certified?

        • +4

          Any

"Global Nomad" I also think this is a better buy as it is supposed to be able to charge wirelessly at 10W ( double ) and also QC3 out of usb A port.

Good to know thanks, having spent nearly 50% more than this one. Tried to do some research but must admit know very little about this Qi stuff and wireless charging.
From what I could see the Kogan one is virtually a re-branded Energizer (not saying that's necessarily a good thing?). Fingers crossed.

Me too. I still have not used wireless charging myself, although I did set up my mums Samsung S8+

with an original USB wireless charger, have an old Nexus 4 that I don't use which has it but never

bothered as it does not have 4G. I'm just comparing specs on paper haha. I have recently purchased

a few Kogan power banks ( the 10000mAh USB C PD & QC3 as well as the 26800mAh USB C PD

60W beast and pretty impressed with them, so happy to try another Kogan Power Bank if needed.

        • +2

To my ignorant eye,the Kogan 10000mAh Qi Wireless Power Bank with PD is almost identical to the Energizer reviewed here:

Anyone know the weight of this powerbank?

  • Going by comment from a review it can do Pass Through Charging both cable as well as witlessly.

Is it a full plastic build, or some aluminium used?

    • +10

      witlessly

..does that mean it's not a smart charger?

      • Haha, good pick up. My computers/spelling mistake. wirelessly ( my computer still says it's wrong lol ).

  • Thanks OP, bought two from Bankstown today

    • Your the reason why that it's all gone from Bankstown, said "Out of Stock Online." Did you click and collect? Confirm stock availability? How much are left at Bankstown? Sorry for too many questions.

      • Actually it was showing zero stock at Bankstown that morning. Thought I’d go in and have a look anyway and it was there on the shelf. So don’t trust online stock levels

  • Plenty still in Joondalup 😊

  • Modbury SA had 3…

  • FYI. Mine stopped functioning. (It stopped wirelessly charging). I took it back and bought an Aldi one.

  • Out of Stock. Got my payment refunded.
