    it shows$179to me?

    • Just select or put in your postcode and the price changes.

  • OP can you advice which sets are on clearance? As from my end I can’t see any set on clearance.

  • Still see $179 online?
    And for pickup in Vic

  • 179 online for me too. Got a direct link?

  • $99 for me. Store set to Brisbane. Thanks!

  • $99 for me, I'm in NSW if that makes a difference.

  • I just clicked on the set and added it to my cart everywhere says $99 to me

  • weird. I tried all different way still showing $179 to me

    • Go incognito, turn off location detection and set your location to Bankstown. It'll turn to $99 quick smart.

Then change the click and collect to your local.

      Worked fine.

  • It looks like you need to set a store location before the discounted price is displayed.

  • Can confirm, you need to add to cart and then the price updates

  • got heeem

  • I wish I can post my print screen. no luck :-(

So I figured a workaround, try open your browser in incognito mode and block "allow location sharing". Then set your location to NSW (I used Penrith).
Load the Slave I page and add to cart, it should come up with $99.
When in the checkout page you just edit your pickup or delivery location to where ever you would like (I set mine as Doncaster VIC) and continue to payment as normal for $99.

PS: Also don't forget to use Shopback 5% off wish eGift cards as well!

    • You don't have to wish. Just take screenshot and post via a free image upload service. Like so

You're not the only one btw. I'm from VIC and look like the price is $179

  • Can confirm $99 price. it did show at first the full $179 but as soon as I picked my local store it went down to $99 im in NSW if that helps

    • Edit: They cancelled my order today as they couldn't find any when their internal system said they had 5. Waiting on word from their customer support for a solution.

  • Nice cyto it works . 6 at Southland 3192 using his method .
I'm kind off full from Amazon deal :)

  • Great got one posted. Thank you

Got 1 before that idiot from the lego falcon deal came through and ordered all available stock so he can sell on ebay.

    • I don’t think there is much profit on eBay, selling them at $150 and eBay takes around $20 in fees. Then there is the possible high postage….

      • They are auctioning at $110-120

        Not worth it

    • Disappointing, got an updated email that said they had no stock.

  • I like a discount. I like the original Star Wars movies. But i just don't like this set for some reason. Anyone else not like it?

    • If you've seen the UCS version, maybe it's because you know it'd be settling. I have the UCS but I think this is good value for the price.

      • +1

The UCS set is amazing. One of Lego’s best.

      • Nah I actually haven't seen the UCS. This one just doesn't do it for me

  • OP there's only one other set on clearance and it's junk er I mean juniors

I don't need any more lego.

    Ordered, thanks.

  • Does anyone here own The Upside Down - 75810???

Looks like a brilliant set for owning and displaying, but I can't see it being re-stocked any time soon.

    • +1

It's kinda cool. But $350? Terribly mispriced. Should be $199!

      • Agree. I am tossing up between that set and Assembly Square 10255.

        choices….

  • Is it still available? I get $179…

  • whats the difference between this and the ucs one

    • +1

The UCS is bigger, has more pieces (about 900 more) and detail.

And it’s more of a display set rather than play set, which this one is.

    • +1

The UCS one looks about as good as a Lego rendition of a Star Wars spacecraft can and is widely-regarded as one of the best UCS sets of all time. It looks static-model good.

This one looks like the cheap toy that it is.

  • I set my location to Brisbane City to get the $99 price then click and collected from my local in northern Victoria

Bit annoyed, ordered for pickup and got refunded and told there was no stock… After the stock in all the other stores was exhausted.

  • I love lego but I feel the new sets are not as good as the old star wars. My brothers and I use to collect lego then we sold it all…we were stupid lol. But if i do become a lego collector ill buy all the old sets. The new ones just aren't nostalgic and don't look very appealing for some reason…

    • +1

I feel the new sets are not as good as the old star wars.

Yeah you're on your own with that assertion.

I understand the rose-tinted bias somewhat because I was also into Lego back in the day when the first licensed Star Wars sets were coming out and before I got back into Lego as an adult, I always thought none of these new sets could relive that magical excitement you remembered as a kid, but honestly, there's no comparison between this ugly hunk of crap from back in the day and the UCS Slave I. The evolution of the Slave I sets over the years really shows how far Lego has come.

Lego Star Wars sets in particular have never looked as detailed, realistic and downright cool as they do currently and the new construction techniques and unique moulds they keep innovating just make the Lego sets of yesteryear look like Duplo.

      • oh no not that ancient! That looks like crap. i meant sets like these ones http://legoiamyourfather.blogspot.com/2015/04/review-6209-sl…. I mainly dislike the new sets because of the mini figure designs. The space ship has a cool design but the mini figures are just not doing it for me

        • That one looked good for its time sure, but it's hard to believe how much Lego has changed in 13 years, that set might as well be from 1986 because nowadays it looks hideous, bordering on being a bad knock-off of Lego. Heck, there are 1980s Lego sets from the Space Police theme (which was a huge favourite of mine as a kid) that objectively look a million times better as spacecraft, like this or this or this but that's because they're not licensed sets but original Lego themes.

Licensed Lego designs never age well and can only look more primitive with hindsight because they're inevitably striving to be as close to an exact replica of something created by film special effects/CGI, and that only becomes more feasible with time as Lego innovates more and more unique pieces, moulds and construction techniques.

Original designs don't have inherent accuracy standards to live up to, so I will agree with you that some of Lego's older, original themes and designs probably beat out some of their newer, original themes and designs(which explains why Lego relaunched the Space Police theme in 2009), but when it comes to licensed stuff, even older UCS sets just scratch the surface of what would be possible with modern pieces and construction techniques (though I guess you do need to be familiar with all of the unbelievably extravagant MOCs that AFOLs are putting out there to understand the possibilities of modern Lego).

The minifigs though are universally better, with more complex and interesting helmets/capes/backpacks/weapons/hairpieces and far, far more detailed printing especially for the reverse of the torso and the legs (including metallic colouring).

There are a few old-school minifigs that are still highly-prized but honestly, get some new Lego Star Wars sets and you won't take a second-look at your old favourites from back in the day ever again.

          Nostalgia is a cruel mistress.

          • @Gnostikos: Ok to be fair some of the new mini figures are better in terms of design but i feel the majority of the time they add too much detail which ruins the model despite it looking more like the movie. The Retro look to the mini figures are just my kind of thing. That is why they added the 20th anniversary mini figure for fans like me. The majority of the time the new Lego designs are really good in terms of the structure but as i said before the figures don't quite fit in for some reason. Here is a good video that best summarises the slave one sets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpZKc9IYAQs

          • @Gnostikos: oh and also a lot of the new sets are smaller than the old ones for whatever reason…But to be fair some are bigger and have a better design which is the only reason i would buy a new set. But to be honest i would probs buy the new and combine it with the old. But thats just me
