    Seriously this is a bargain?
Mikrotik hex POE only costs you US$79 RRP.

    • Hex POE is not a switch it's a router, secondly it works only 60 degrees (non-industrial product), thirdly, it has only one SFP. Of course this is not a similar product.

      • Not exactly a deal when this is your normal price…

    • Not exactly apples to oranges.

  • Can you run some UBNT specials please?

    • Hard one, but what product in particular would you like to see ?

      • USG/USG-PRO, CloudKey 2, Unifi AP-PRO v2 (or HD if the price is right), Switch 8/16-150W.

How's the Unifi cams or should I just throw more $ at the Hikvision or Dahua?

        • I would not go the Unifi cams, unless you are set on the App. The Hik system is far more practical and better cameras.

          • @Ijuiceman: Have they moved away from Activex yet? Or do you get to install free spyware now? 😂

        • Unifi just aren't security grade cameras, not like the purpose built Hikvison/Dahua

        • +1

Unifi cameras are not commercial grade either, out of the 20 or so ive bought, around 5 have died just slightly out of the warranty period, the fault occurred with in the warranty but took a while to reproduce. ended up replacing out of pocket. wouldnt recommended, they have a really nice interface, but lack the durability of Hikvision/Dahua

  • Ubiquiti Networks 8-Port UniFi Switch, Managed PoE+ Gigabit Switch with SFP, 150W (US-8-150W)
$297.48 @ Amazon and free delivery

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Ubiquiti-Networks-Managed-Gigabit-…

    • That's the price we could do, but without GST, same as Amazon does…

      • +2

I can't see anywhere that says that Amazon price is exclusive of GST

        • +3

Indeed. Amazon.com.au prices include GST in all cases, including the international listings that appear on the AU site:

    • +2

I wouldn't consider them the same thing. The UniFi switch is designed to sit in a nice cool clean office while this one is designed to sit on a DIN rail in a dusty warehouse or factory floor. It also has a dual redundant power supply. Quite a niche product I think.

edit: oh sorry, I thought you were posting the unifi switch as an alternative.

  • Dahua industrial poe switch is much less

    • +1

The main difference between this switch and others is that it accepts 12VDC and boosts that up to 48V per port at 30W. That is a very unique feature.

  • Any chance on a special for a pair of 2-Wire Ethernet PoE Converters?

  • challenge is getting power supply for the poe that also works at these environmentals, many industrial, poe switches want 48v feed for the poe, if only 24v the poe doesn’t work as most don’t have a step-up / inventor to raise to 48v …i’ve only worked with cisco, hirschmann and siemens industrial, these switches might be different.

  • What's the actual discount on the normal price then? What did you sell these for 30 days ago?
