    What to buy for $10.01?

    • +2

I normally just get something that will be useful eventually, rather than sit there and make an impulse purchase

Shampoo is a favourite of mine for that

Good evening Mr Clear. I've got to say it's a very good deal for a 30000mah powerbank. However I've got 2 questions.
So you mean that the 30000mah is allowed to bring on a plane?
Second question is which powerbank do you personal use? I googled "Best powerbank 2019" and found this link. It's no mentioned about Romoss brand sir…

    https://www.pcworld.com/article/3236420/best-power-banks.htm…

    • +1

You need prior airline approval - read the links.

    • That's right for the 30000mAh. With airline approval (very easy) it's allowed. Qantas are even starting to let power banks be in your checked baggage according to their website. I currently use the 30000mAh.

Those websites that do comparisons are purely the author's opinion and you'll notice that they're all going through affiliate links. So PC World are making a lot of money off that article to "recommend" those power banks.

I only had an issue in Berlin airport security on my trip a few weeks ago. No problems through Melbourne or Singapore.

Great value at 40 bucks for the 30k mah, I paid 50 a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good. Couldn't find anything cheaper.

    • I just came back from a trip to NZ, flew with Qantas there and Emirates back.

Romoss Sense8+ 30000mah powerbank, Xiami 10000mah, about 4 rechargeable AA batteries in my backpack and had 0 issues without prior approval. Maybe I was lucky.

      • +1

        Count yourself lucky.

Better off bringing two 20k than a single 30k. No need to ask for permision to carry onboard.

Is being polite not considered a good thing anymore?

        • -4

When it incites imagery of someone tipping their fedora, then yeah.

          • +8

@corbz: Maybe get your brain checked then mate…
The guy's clearly just trying to be polite and is most likely from a subcontinental background where you find this formality and respect in speech quite common.

  • Will this work with warp charge in the OnePlus 7 Pro?

    • +1

No warp charge in this one.

      • Do you happen to sell any sort of warp charge PB?

        • Afraid not sorry. I don't think I've seen any with Warp yet.

    • There's an adapter that converts Quick Charge and USB-PD to VOOC (Dash) or SuperVOOC (Warp).
Search eBay for "yzx vooc". You'll want the PD-SuperVOOC one for OP7 Pro (OnePlus Warp charge == OPPO SuperVOOC).

I've been using the QC-VOOC adapter to charge my OnePlus 5 for the past couple of months with the Romoss 30000mAh power bank, and another several months with a power bank from Kogan (don't remember the brand). No issues, although it can get quite hot.

I love the compact size and portability of the 10,000mAh OM10 model above. However, it's disappointed that it doesn't support quick charge. There are many 10K ones out there supporting quick charge but seems not many include an LED battery indicator.

Also, @Clear, what is the difference between the 20K in this post versus the Sense 6PS+ here https://www.amazon.com.au/ROMOSS-20000mAh-Portable-External-… and the Ares20 here https://www.amazon.com.au/Portable-ROMOSS-20000mAh-External-… ?

Does the 20,000 Romoss LT20PS+ model support quick charge Note9?

    • Sense 6PS+ is just a different design with fast charging. A lot of the original Romoss power banks like the Sense 6 and LT20 were updated to Plus variants with 18W charging.

The Ares20 is just a standard (slow) charging 20000mAh power bank.

      • Thanks. Does the LT20PS+ support quick charge for Note9?

Does ROMOSS have any 10,000mAh quick charge (for Note9) powerbank with LED battery indicator?

  • Sorry but another question mr Clear. On the Amazon website it's stated "Fast Charging and Recharging External Battery Packs for Nintendo Switch, Samsung Galaxy(S9/S10 is not)…". As I own a S9+, it means the Romoss 8+ would quick charge my mobile right?

    • +1

Yes that's right. Some US models have had incompatibility with Romoss power banks but as reported in the last deal it'll work for the AU S9+.

      • Ok thanks for info and links mr Clear. I might order one then.. :)

        • +3

I wonder if you get more for assault with battery or assault with fist.

    • it's actually a very decent physical size as compared to other 26kmah+ power banks on the market. it's smaller than the ravpower ones for example.

but yes - probably won't fit in your pocket :)

      • Depends how large your pockets are. It fits in mine, but it's a little uncomfortable to walk around with a brick in my pocket.

Many thanks, my Oncom 20000mah broke down recently and I have been looking for a LCD display replacement.

The Romoss LT20PS+ just might be the one I'm looking for. Cheers!

bought 20k from previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/477996

Great powerbank. Only thing that bugs me is 7.5W (5V X 1.5A) output when charging iphoneX. Didn't try usb C to lightning as I dont have cable.

And seem not to charge small devices (Jaybird X2, Garmin Fenix 5) when they are almost full charge (95%+). Possibly bcos Amp is too low to initiate the charge from powerbank. It always stops at ~90% on my fenix 5.

  • bought one with a new 9v 2a power adapter :) looking forward to this monstrous power bank!

  • Anyone got Emirates, Qantas or SAA approval on this one before ?

    • I want to know the same. Emirates will be ok with this?

    • Just confirmed with Emirates, they dont allow 30000 one at all. Following is what they said about 30000mAh model

      this is exceed 100 watt-hours.

The max. permitted is 100 watt-hours.

      • Strange the emirates website says for 100-160Wh please contact for approval

  • Code is dead now?

  • Thanks OP. Got a 20k one.

  • WIll this fast charge huawei mate20 pro? thx

    • Besides the capacity and screen everything else is the same. 26800mAh won't require airline approval.

      • whats the maximum input on both devices? i have a 30w charger, will it charge it faster or is 18w maximum?

        • 18W maximum.

          • @Clear: OP - any deals on this model?
ROMOSS QS05 5,000mAh Power Bank with Built-in Cable

  • 17 cm , that's massive, my Samsung Fast charger is 10cm.

  • Hi, will this charge an older MacBook?

  • Don’t know if there is a way to get it through a authorised channel but Xiami powerbank 3 is a much better choice with pd charging support up to 45w(20000mah). I got one in China and it only cost me CNY 200 which is equivalent to around 40 AUD.

Here's the product deal page for the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3 Pro

Usually ~AU $50 Delivered for AU stock.

      • I guess thats fair and gives the Romoss an edge on price. But I would recommend the Xiaomi ones to anyone who's planning to charge their laptops. 18w isn't going to cut it.

  • Anyone have any recommendations for short cables (30cm-ish) to use with the powerbanks? To Lightning and USB-C?

  • So does this simply just not charge a Galaxy S10e? Specifically the 30,000 model

    • It won't do the new 25W fast charging.

      • So it will charge just not fast charging?

        • Correct.

  • Thanks. Bought the 30000. Also thanks to Amazon's recent pricing errors with the Timex watch and Jelly Belly it came down to $29 with their $5 gift cards.

  • Hi I'm looking for purchase one of these…

Does anyone know if this will charge the latest dell xps 13 (7390) 2 in 1?

    https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/2-in-1-laptops/new-xps-13-2-…

    • These aren't really suitable for laptops as they're 18W. Something 45W+ is more suitable.

      • Thanks for your reply, does ROMOSS sell any 45W+ products?

        • Not currently.

  • Where do you enter the promo code? The one i enter at 'payment method' is coming back as invalid

    • So you only have the 1 power bank in your cart, have confirmed delivery and the payment method? It should work if that's the case.

  • Would this 20000 mAh support fast charge the Note 10+?

  • Really need it ,thanks!

Hi @Clear, is the 20,000mAh model out of stock? When I click the link it sends me to the 10,000mAh model.

    Cheers,

    • I'm also after the 20k and it's not showing

    • Yeah that one is out of stock. There will be more in a month or 2.

  • Cheers OP, got one 👍

  • Code seems to no longer be working. getting "The promotional code you entered is not valid." error.

This is why you dont wait till the last minute…

    • Yep I waited to long and getting same message.
