  With all the praise Celeste got in 2018 (and deservedly so) it's a wonder how 2017's End is Nigh flew so far under the radar …especially given that it's by Ed McMillan.

    I can see why Celeste captured hearts, but End is Nigh is a fantastic and underrated game indeed!

  I found Abzu pretty underwhelming. I mean it's not terrible or anything, but nor is it particularly great. The whole thing just felt like I was playing a poor man's Journey, but underwater.

  Might give The End Is Nigh a go, though.

    Exactly my feelings, loved Journey but couldn't get into Abzu.

      Oh, it's certainly not terrible at all. But nor is it particularly good. Played it, finished it, deleted it. Didn't regret spending the time on it, but nor did I ever go back to it again.

      It's certainly worth giving it a try for the princely sum of $0.

  Yet another freebie that is on my Steam wishlist.

  I was expecting the Epic freebies to rapidly degrade in quality, but this doesn't appear to be happening, surprisingly. Not yet, anyway.
