Oooh this or the $249 markus

    • Keen to hear this too

      • I have the Markus. Probably only useful if you are tall. Cushion on the Buro is much better.

  • Does it have a good supportive cushion?

    • Yep, covered by a 10 year warranty.

  • @SMALLDEADCHRIS what was the original price?

    • The discounted price only comes up during checkout when you add the coupon. Was $299

This is the type of chair gamers should buy not one of those gimmick racing chairs.

This year my wife and I brought the Buro Roma with adjustable arms. My back pain has reduced to nothing after long sessions of gaming.

NEVER go cheap on a office chair. One of the things you shouldn't in life.

tip…as a gamer get the adjustable arms. nothing like your arms being supported while gaming with mouse and keyboard.

    • +2

Apparently this chair can be annoyingly noisy, what's your experience?

    • -4

Are you just a casual or legit? Ive tried these at cousins place but is nothing compared to my Vertigear gaming chair. These ones are not high enough and doesnt support your head and neck. I frequently do 9 to 11 hour sessions on the vertigear and its great, the cousion on the head rest means you can can have a small nap during breaks or tilt your head back onto it when you feel some tightness/pins and needles on your neck.

I feel combining the vertigear with G-fuel probably ads 5% to performance.

    • I disagree, whilst there are some terrible 'gamer' branded chairs, if you spend enough there are some very decent chairs available which are much better than this, which is designed for an office and productivity.

      • Any suggestion on what other chairs are much better?

        • -2

Much better than what? And in which ways?

    • -3

Gaming chair is like installing a sports bodykit on a non performance car

The owners usually own the latest iphones too…

      • -2

Not if you have an Alienware gaming laptop and G-fuel, thats like having the bodykit on a real sexyrexy sti turbo using 98 octane fuel.

    • This year my wife and I brought the Buro Roma with adjustable arms. My back pain has reduced to nothing after long sessions of gaming.

Depends what kind of game you play with ypir wife on a chair

      • Yoga and pilates

    • I bought a akracing chair 3 years ago cause I'm a moron. inside the warranty period the base rusted and needed to be replaced, the bottom base needed to be replaced because they supplied the wrong gas lift and it got wedged and stuck inside, the gas lift was replaced twice and all the fake leather on the chair is peeling.

also the chair itself was comfortable at first but after 3 years of 8 hour daily use it's incredibly uncomfortable and is probably contributing more to my back problems than it is helping

also i can't sit all the way back in it because of its weird "shoulder support" that gives me neck pain if i actually do

I'd argue that this isn't exactly a decent chair, either. I've owned one and thought it was extremely average - bought a Steelcase Leap and couldn't be happier.

      • Where did you buy the Steelcase?

  • Difference between this and Buro II? seems like Buro's website is down. Perhaps they have closed up? Could explain the lack of new deals popping up too

  • Their website was working last week. Also, do not forget 3.5% cashback.

    • And $20 off first order? The link doesnt work though

      • +1

Not stackable. Better off with birthday code

  • Thanks op. Ordered one.

  • Are the arm rests on these removable?

    • +1

I remember from an earlier post that someone had posted they are removable.

    • +3

Yep, I removed mine no problem.

Where does the code go? I can't seem to find the field during checkout.

    edit
Figured it out, you have to register an account to have the field appear in the cart.

Hi Guys, I bought this chair 2 years ago. A good chair compared to most. However, I am still suffering from lower back pain if working from home (> 3 hours on this chair). Hence I am planning to purchase a Herman Miller, which is the equiped by my company in the office. I do not have any back pain even work over time in the office. Juts FYI

    • The Aeron? Or a different Herman Miller chair?

      • The company provided Aeron.

  • no head support, I'll pass :(

Bought the metro elite, which was only $15 more expensive. Not sure what all the differences are, but it seems to have an adjustable seat depth and a new mesh material.

    • Ordered the elite. Thanks for the heads up!

    • Sold out already? Cheapest I could find came to $316.80 afte the coupon

    • Are Elite's arms the same? Happen to be more expensive adding arms.

  • Where do you add the code?

    • +1

You have to register for an account first.

  • Anyone got any experience to compare this and the Professional Ergonomic Extra-Heavy-Duty Mesh Chair Black from Officeworks?

    • The name alone is enough to throw a warning. Sounds like an SEO, tag optimised chair…

      • I'm not really savy with what you're implying. Does OW hide brand names for certain products on purpose? Either way, the chairs look very similar.

        • It's a J. Burrows clone of the Buro Metro.
Rather than come up with their own name, they've slapped a bunch of words together that people might use when googling for an all-day office chair so that it's the first result that pops up.

  • The aluminium frame has a better cushion. Mines still like the day I bought it 4 years ago.

    • Is the surface leather?

      • Nah it's like a stretchy fabric. The one you see in those mid-tier office chairs. Feels higher quality than you usually expect.

        • +1

Is this material resistant to cat scratch:)
My concern was any leather is incompatible with my cat

          • @Meovel: I don't own any cats but it seems pretty sturdy. No tears or visible damage in mine. Probably not as cat-resistant as leather though lol.

I'm sitting on one now. Had it for around 4 years also. Highly recommended. The seat cushion compressed on my last chair (Eames replica) - like sitting on hard metal. Agree with Yuri Lowell above - nil signs of aging on this one. The cushion is super comfortable. Arms are removable.

Have the buro metro and have sat on the markus at ikea -
the buro metro quality is so much better than anything at ikea
PS if anyone is in Perth and wants to sell me their arms i'm up for it

  • Ordered one, thanks OP.
Does anyone know any headrest extender that can be added on to this one?

  • Thanks grabbed one

  • Been waiting for this, just grabbed one thanks.

I don't understand how this chair is so popular. I bought the Metro II from WINC and the lowest setting is quite high … top of seat is roughly 48cm from the floor. This is borderline for me (I'm 5'9) and unusable for my wife who is 5'5. It's definitely not as comfortable as my chair at work (which is a brand called Vitra).

The spec for the Metro Task is slightly lower
Seat to Floor Height (Min to Max.)
    450mm to 580mm

I recommend trying before buying because logistics of sending chairs back and forth aren't that straight forward if a return is required.

Happy to provide more details if required (PM me).

    • +1

People are tall and getting taller!

      • I sent you guys an email while this deal was still active asking how the returns system works and how I could sample if I found the seat comfortable.

At first, they didn't get back to me then after 2 days I sent them a follow-up email and they just sent a response as follows:

        "Thanks for your enquiry.

Our website displays our range of products which includes pricing, availability and any current promotions which you can access at any time.

If you head to our website www.winc.com.au there is a range of items you can view."

That was a reply to a question about how the returns policy works if I assemble the chair and find it uncomfortable?!

Customer support is crap and they can't even give you some extra attention to get a sale across the line, imagine after they already have your money!

        Wouldn't recommend this mob.

  • I bought this chair a couple of years ago when they were still called Staples and had a horrible customer experience.
They didn't deliver it for several weeks; I chased them up 3 times (which means the service representative lied the first 2 times), it was only when I asked to cancel the order that it finally arrived the next day.

  • These chairs are great, had one at work. Shame they look like shit and make you feel like you're in an office if you're just chilling at home

  • I bought a chair, a desk and a carpet protector using this code on Sunday and my total order after discount, including delivery, was $608.60, paid on my debit card. It showed on my bank transaction list as Staples Mascot.

Today, another transaction has appeared from my debit card from Staples Mascot for $505.50!!!

Ive tried to call the Winc service number 1800 782 753 and they're playing recorded message saying they're experiencing high volumes.

Tried to use live chat on their website, the live chat is saying no agents available to chat.

Has anyone else been charged twice different amounts?

    • Hey i'm not sure this is related but i had a $20 charge on my debit card after i made a purchase with winc i didn't suspect anything till i read your comment, i'm not saying it is connected but its a coincidence.
