        There will be hidden costs, due to addiction and time sink, but they shouldn't affect the fact that this is a great deal. It's less than $10 if paying using a credit card with no currency conversion fees.

      I bought Civ V a few weeks ago - didn't really like the demo, but big fan of Civ 1-4… anyway… am now addicted to CiV. DO IT!

    Just a warning for those who want to play this on a laptop - a lot of people have overheating issues with this game, ie your laptop might get too hot and shut down. Even with lower graphics settings my laptop still overheated so I want back to civ4… better game anyway :p

      Civ 4 is still the king of multiplayer strategy, the multiplayer in Civ 5 is broken - people cheat easily and the game mechanics are unbalanced. But if you play single player, Civ 5 is obviously better and nicer.

      my steam update stop at 39% as well, so I closed the program, reset router, and restart steam, after 2 minutes, it is all right, activate the game successfully.
