  Seems a lot of the reviews are great… but they don't appear to have actually used the thing. The negative reviews seem to suggest it self discharged rapidly. That's normally s sign of budget reco bateries being used.

    I bought one on Ozbargain special about a year ago. I've used it to jump start (works great), and it stays charged for ages. I also use it to recharge my kid's iPads when we travel. Great product.

      Sane model? Fair enough, I'm not a fan of reviews that say… I only just opened the box, it looks great!

      What did you jump start? Anything bigger than a 3.6?

  Yeah can confirm , thing works great and holds charge…even the wife can use it , she thinks she's a mechanic now she jump started the pathfinder…

  I have the 1500A one for about 9 months now and used it 4 times to jump start my car. Works great, and pretty much paid for itself if you don't have to call road side assistance or anything like that.
  Used it once to charge my phone and the touch once when there was a black out at home. Only recharged it 6 months in but still probably had more than 70% charge on the unit. Just remember to charge it every few month as with all batteries, it will slowly self discharge.
