  • legit stuff in OEM packaging?

$9.99 Standard Postage - for a microsd card. They need to stop with the eBay plus scam.

It really doesn't seem like a good business plan. So many items that I would have bought from Ebay I actually haven't for this exact reason.

  • Can someone explain why Samsung Evo Plus is better than SanDisk?

    • +7

SanDisk Ultra is slower than Samsung Evo+. SanDisk Extreme is roughly equivalent.

SS seems to have mixed reputation, what's the verdict on these cards? would hate to lose tons of pictures out of sudden due to fake cards.

    • +3

      They are legit.

      • what made you say so if you don't mind me asking?

    • +1

I've bought most of my microSD's (2x 64gb Evo+, 1x SanDisk 64GB, 1x 128 Evo+) from SS (or one of its related companies) and haven't had any "fakes" FWIW.

Ok, your guys' words are good enough for me.. More microsd Yay..

    • Seems to be ok. Mine came in Chinese/Japanese packaging.

      • Genuine OEM retail packaging?

        • +1

Yes I believe they are genuine OEM, just target for different market. Could say they are "grey" imports.

Why not a 1TB from Huawei for the same price?

    • If you're going to sell a fake product it's generally a good idea to copy one that actually exists.

    • The voice in my head says "If it is too good to be true then…"
Seriously a decent 1TB SD should be around US $450-500 mark. The only brand names that released it are Lexar and Sansisk (coming soon).

If there's any doubt, Huawei don't even make SD cards. They make their own proprietary format "NM" cards.

Need to be careful. I think one strategy with online retailers is sell mixed products (fake and original). In this case, it gets everyone confused. The other thing is the whole Shenzhen is infested with fake products. I have seen them packaging up the fake products, it is so hard to tell. Having said all these, I am not saying ss is selling fake products. I am just saying be careful, but I do not know how. :)
