      Pretty sure Steam was some sort of clause that if a developer makes their game free on another platform then they also need to make it free on steam.

        Yes, there is - I have actually read the terms and conditions and license terms and there are quite a "few" very questionable clauses which in my professional capacity I am certain would be held unenforceable and void if tested in court. In fact, in Europe some of those have got Steam in hot water already in the past.
        Another reason while I do not understand store controversies. That clause does not necessarily ensure competition either and is aimed at cementing Steam's position as the total market leader and cuts back on a game developer's freedom to do promote his product as he or she wishes.

      I would highly recommend finding a G29 off gumtree. I got the the wheel, pedals and shifter for $199. The condition was like new. Spending more on a wheel is hard, because you don't know if you/they will actually use the wheel a lot or not - it takes effort to store it, pull it out and use it, and many will buy the wheel and use it only for a short period before storing it permanently.

          That's what I did! The guy lost the power adapter, so was selling it for cheap while they were moving house. I had a power brick laying around that fit it which was great, if not they cost $50 from JayCar. The guy had it listed at $300, I showed him that you can get it new for $350 (at the time), said I would offer him $250. Then found out it didn't have power adaptor so offered him $200.

    Its a hard game to learn they tried to make the steering feel real and its a bit funky.

      It's tough to master but oh so rewarding when you do. I don't like hard games like darksouls but this is different.

      Although driving the insane group B cars well is out of reach for almost everyone just like real life.

    Am I missing something. I purchased the free game, (It now says 'Dirt Rally is already in your Steam Library')

    I go to the Windows Steam desktop app and there is nothing in my library.

    Clicking on 'Play Game' just takes me to the store's Dirt page, where it starts playing the video.

    I've tried restarting, clearing download cache.

      Ok, looks like I haven't completely lost my mind. Lots of folks having the same issue.

      We are investigating this issue with DiRT Rally being unable to be installed from the Steam Store page.

      As soon as we have more information"… and so on.

      Yep, same issue. Not showing in library, click 'Play Now' and the page reloads. Logged onto the Android App this morning to ensure I snagged this and added it from there, so thought that might have been an issue.

    Anyone out there with VR gear should check this game out.
    GUARANTEED motion sickness (at least for me) but the first few minutes you look around in the game when driving are pretty awesome!

    hi guys, noob question, I did everything including account setup and installation of steam on my Mac, but whenever I click on the "play" button in the steam window on my Mac, it just reloads that dirt rally page with the videos. Nothing launches.. Any tips please?

      It's an issue that a lot of people are having today. Give it a day or so, Steam should fix it and it should eventually show in your library

      Same here. It seems it took about 24 hours from the time it was claimed until it actually appeared in my library (due to the fact it says "Purchased Yesterday" on the game's library page).

      Steam must be struggling to allocate sufficient stock with the amount of people claiming this game.
