Is that Australian stock or grey import?

    • Do digiDirect products come with official Australian manufacturers' warranty?

Absolutely; 12 - 24 months (dependent upon manufacturer) back-to-base official Australian warranty. We are among the few on-line suppliers with direct accounts with the Australian distributors of leading digital brands, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, Pentax just to name a few!

  • Australian.
Is this a camera worth getting?

    • +1

As a Nikon shooter, I'm in 2 minds. I would get this as I have quite a few Nikon lenses already and the lenses don't work that well adapted on a Sony.

But I could go for the Sony A7iii due to being cheaper; couple that with the (great value) Tamron 28-75/2.8; and use my existing (cheaper) SD cards.

      • I made that exact same switch, will never go back to a SLR. Mirrorless all the way and Sony are great at it. Only gripe, lenses are exxy.

  • Unfortunately this has been cheaper and I wish I took advantage. Couple months ago JB has this for $3040 and had the extra 5% off coupon bringing it to $2888. That included the XQD reader, XQD card and the FTZ adaptor.

I don't think deal includes the FTZ adaptor and the XQD goodies.

Nothing has come close to this price in month, next time that pops up, I will 100% buy. Will not make the same mistake again.

    • Yes, I held out until closer to my overseas travel. So waiting for the next deal.

If anyone knows whether Nikon bundles the XQD card and reader with any system, that would be good to know.

      • Not sure it's still the same , Z6 came with 32Gb XQD + card reader, but Z7 came with only 64Gb XQD

        • My z6 came with 32gb and reader too, but the guys in JB didn't even know it, it was inside the box by Nikon, not by the dealers

          PS: Mine was z6 + FTZ + 24-70 f4

    • That's so much money for a camera

A drop in the ocean with user name like yours ;-)

    • Oh yes, I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. I missed that deal also, as well as the Amazon one which was 1988 for body, ftz, and XQD (net of Nikon cashback).

Anyhow, I bought the body with FTZ, 32GB XQD and reader for ~2500 last June. The deciding factor for the “buy now” is ease of use for shoots lined up.

      If I have a little more budget, I wouldve bought D850 😬

      • What were you using before?

        • I was and am still using D750 along with the Z6. Sold my D810 after having used the Z6 for a month or so. The image qualities are so close to be honest. I chose Z6 coz it’s lighter and EVF is so helpful 👌🏼 Also, You don’t need to calibrate the lens’ AF (unless the lens copy is really bad).

          • @jerome38: I have the D750 haven't used it upto its full potential.

Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 24-70mm Lens $3124

How much extra is it if you want the mirror too?

  • Great price for a capable full frame with a versatile native F4 zoom lens, which alone is worth ~ $1500.

  • If you are Nikon Shooter. Probably stick to Z Mirrorless series because if you are like me who has three new Sigma lenses and a Godox flash it would be a loss selling these stuff plus the body it will be loss jumping to Sony system.

    • Agree with this. That’s why I sticked with Nikon, I love my Nikon glasess (58mm 1.4 , 24mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4) :). Plus the Tamron ones.

      • g2 or g1?

  • A few places have the Z6/7 well priced at the moment- camerahouse, ted's cameras, digital camera warehouse all have somewhat competitive pricing.

EDIT: JB Hifi also has the Z6 + 64 gb xqd (which is noteworthy, these don't take SD and XQD cards are comparatively expensive) for $2400, z6 + 24-70 for $3120, FTZ $160

  • The FTZ price seems to have been adjusted. I thought it was $400+ at release.

    • It’s 129 now, super cheap! Initially these were made in Japan, now made in Thailand, hence cheaper.

      • That should be the regular price. $400+ was over the top.

        • Regular price is 179.

  • I ended with a "price beat" (got extra accessories at a very handsome discount) of George's Cameras with Camerahouse for the Z6 + 24-70mm f/4 + ftz (The box also came with the 32gb XQD card and reader so very happy, newer stock no longer comes with this).

Link: (use code "nikon20" to bring it down to $3199) https://www.georges.com.au/nikon-z6-mirrorless-digital-camer…

Ted's wouldn't pricematch, Digidirect would price match and wouldn't do better, Camerahouse price matched and did better so win win!
