    I agree personally. The extended ones just drag on a bit IMHO and I personally don't feel a lot was lost in the editing processes thats required for the story.

    The extended ones still leave a lot out from the books so that being the case, I tend to prefer to go for the more tightly edited release that I can more comfortably watch in a session.

      The extended versions of Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers are better, whereas I prefer the theatrical cut of Return of the King. The ending of the extended RotK is about 45 minutes too long.

    no, just the sexual tension version, but i pretty sure this is the version that's 9hrs to long.
