Holy crap at this price I'll give it a crack!

    Great price. Nice find, OP!

  • Have it on 3ds… Will pass but price seems good for a switch title.

    • If you finish it on 3DS, you should consider getting the Switch version. There's extra content and you can transfer your save file over.

  • I wonder if EB games would price match with Amazon?

    • +3

Nah unfortunately not. They only match physical stores within a certain distance to them.

      • Same price at Target.

      • I have got EB to price match Amazon before.

Admittedly, it was a bit of faffing and I have got the impression that they've done it a couple of times because it falls in the "too hard basket".

    • What's the benefit of buying from EB.. Just easier?

      • +1

Can return game within 7 days + points for there membership program

  • Hows this compared to MHW

    • +2

      way better :)

    • More content in this one, but you'll miss the graphics and qol fixes from mhw.

    • If you have never played old mh ur gonna be in for a bad time. I would stick with mhw

      • I've clicked 1k hours on MHW then stopped playing but really enjoyed the experience.. you think mhgu not a good idea?

        • I've played since mh4u and clocked 500 hours on mhgen. After mhw in my mind mhgen was more enjoyable as mhw had a really big lack of content and variety of monsters endgame grind was lame in mhw… But trying mhxx I really was too spoilt with the QoL impovements (everything in mhw felt smooth, gathering and healing you need to be stationary and has a massive animation in xx) as well as prefer keyb+mouse (way better camera movements) and couldnt get back into it.

          • @undien: I agree about your point about MHW towards endgame, it lacked variety for such a big game and the grind was real albeit fun with other hunters.
I've heard much about mhxx about its rich content when I was heavy into mhw but after 1k hours into mhw, I wasn't ready to commit to another mh title.
But perhaps the time has come again to go hunting

  • does this lag on the switch though?

    • Do you mean online latency?
      Or low frame rates?

And are you possibly confusing this with MH World?

    • It doesn't but it's only 30fps unlike mh4u on the 3ds which was 60 fps.

  • bought

    thanks

  • Nice. This release and retail is $89 iirc

  • Gone! But great price.

    • @adam Target have price-matched it

      • +2

it was Amazon price-matched Target. lol

      • Ah I had no idea. Thanks very much just ordered it for click and collect :)

  • Does this compare anything to Monster Hunter world, I only know of these games becasue of World and it looks amazing. The graphics would be nowhere near, but how is gameplay and the rest.

    • +1

      Quite different

      • Thanks

  • Back in stock.

Checked at 7:19pm AEST for reference.

    • And gone again…
