First post so sorry if there are any mistakes.

Was looking for cheapest price on Supercoat Dog Food and found this at Big W. Supercoat Smart Blend Dry Adult Dog Food 12kg for $28. Usual price for 12kg bag is $35 so 20% discount. Only pick up is available, showing all stores in my area have available stock.

A lot of online stores have the 18kg (cheapest I can find online is $48.88 or $2.72 per kg). This deal works out as $2.33 per kg. I have 2 big dogs so cheap dog food is always a good way for me to save so I will be trying to stock up. Hopefully this will help some dog owners save some money.

Edit: Amazon have the same deal going, free delivery for orders above $39 or for prime members. Thanks for pointing out in the comments.

    Thanks that's really interesting and I would of thought they were one of the better supermarket brands. I have fed this to both my dogs for 7 years and no problems. But my dogs have been known to eat pretty much anything and not get sick so probably not a good example.

      Marketing does wonders.

      Some people feed their kids fast food every day. While not every kid will develop health and weight problems, many more would than if fed a healthy diet.

      I love my dog too much to feed him this and save a hundred a year.

      Also if you feed a dog good quality food, they may need to eat less of it to get their required amount of nutrients. You can always supplement it with some brown rice for more calories.

        What food do you feed your dog which only costs <$2 per week more then this food?

          @flashi007: $2 a week is the difference for me, obviously varies for everyone. Number of dogs, size, age etc.

          I used to buy Blackhawk Lamb and rice but I recently changed to Costco Kirkland Salmon thats $60 for a 16kg bag. I also give mine brown rice as a calorie supplement a couple of times a week.
