I don't need any help pulling my weed

    • Stay classy Hinee ;)

      • THESE ARE BREAKING :Amazon reviews

        Some plastic bit(s) near bottom
snap - sooner or later (some in
        1st 30-minutes)

'Cancelled our Order for 2 each

i have over 1000 weeds easily. Good luck with that.

I take walks around the block every day, and everyone else in the area is the same. More weeds than grass. There will be dirt holes everywhere if you pull them all.

This is a $3 saving from their normal price. I'm willing to give it a punt if ebay brings back 10% or 15% sitewide. Not that "eligible items" crap.

BTW you will have to pay shipping on this if you don't have Plus.

    • Well i guess you can use it if your allready maintain a nice canopy. I think it will benefit a tall person like myself.

The lawn game is actually alot of effort then people think. If you get keen look up lawntips by ben simms hes an aussie and can show you what it takes.

I agree with your last statment sir.

  • Is there an electric version for those people who don't want to make the effort to use their foot?

Amazon reviews suggests it has a tendency to snap https://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-Deluxe-Stand-up-Weeder-4-claw…

Better off paying a bit more to get it from Bunnings for easy returns if it does snap.

    • Lol, I wonder how they used it, let ya know when mine snaps.

      • I know it's a good Brand, but
        it's also a New Product, I think

Let's wait for ver 2.0, eh?

I finally found an effective use for this tool. You wack the kids with the handle to pull faster. Otherwise totally useless.

Have this at home, the plastic bit to push the dirt away from the prongs snapped. It struggles to remove bigger deeper rooted weeds.

I bought one of these about 4 years ago after we moved into a house that was nothing but weeds. Was an older model where the handle is straight all the way to the top.

Was/is great at pulling weeds no matter the size. Can't comment on the quality of the new version but i would say a big possiblity of the plastic weed pushing part snapping would be from having it in the wrong position when cranking on it. You must return it back to the correct position, like a pump action shot gun, before moving on to the next weed. I found it enjoyable to use.

I would go to Bunnings first though to take a look at it in person as Fiskars isn't the high brand that they used to be. Mine is marked 'Finland' but so much of their range now is made in China.

    • good point, wonder which one the ebay seller will send ya never know.

      • Mine says 'Fiskars W52' on the side. Have a look on youtube at how well it works.

I would suggest going to Bunnings anyway as sometimes the still have the older models mixed in. I remember when i bought my Fiskars splitter that i pulled out the older (better) model out of a pile right when they introduced the new model.

Get them to price beat if you end up pulling the trigger while you are there.

        • Do they even price match instore to online? Find it hard allways trying to do this.

          • @woody007: I've never had a problem with doing this.

I always take it to the tool shop and look for an older male staff member.

    • Sad, but Good to know…

  • A fine addition to the dungeon. Bring out the gimp.

    • "A dungeon is a room or cell in which prisoners are held, especially underground. Dungeons are generally associated with medieval castles, though their association with torture probably belongs more to the Renaissance period"

      • Good gimp, now you keep an eye on this one.

  • I got one yesterday after recommendation from a mate. Works well, was $74 at Bunnings (in WA)
Doh, just saw the Bunnings link at the top!

  • Getting one at Bunnings tomorrow - thanks OP
