  • Anybody done the exercise? Would it work out cheaper to buy these as frames for a pair to be made into prescription or is it cheaper to go to opsm directly and do the package there?

With health insurance i'm assuming it doesn't work out any different seeing as the insurance covers the lenses doesn't it?

So the frames at the best price is cheaper?

    • +1

I have purchased a pair of wayfarers from OPSM and wanted to get them prescritionised. The frames themselves are fine, but OPSM were pushing that they can only use rayban lenses for rayban frames, and the lenses cost were $450 before any rebate. Specsavers could do them at a decent price so I would try there first instead of OPSM.

      • SO Specsavers just did new Lenses for your sunglasses? thats brilliant Cheers!

        • Yup, definitely shop around and avoid any optometrists that sell rayban glasses as they will push the official lenses.

          • @ruttager: I think the only drawback is that specsavers dont do the crazy tints/reflective blue golds and the like? but are fine for the normal gray/brown lenses?

      • Sell the std lenses on eBay so makes just the frame cheaper

      • i've bought both frame and lenses from OPSM and they didn't push the RB lenses on me. probably because of my prescription (too damn high!). some stores are pushier than others, i suppose

  • Not a bad deal. Paid $127.55 at retail on special for a pair of Justin's a month ago. Really nice sunnies. Great for those who are looking for that Squarish shape and you have a small head.

    • What makes them more suitable for smaller heads?

      • +1

Smaller frame overall. Nothing sticks out at the sides. They are very slightly curved, but only very slightly. Im a male btw.

      • frame width and shorter arms.

    • Still waiting for a myer 2 for 200 again

  • The '30% off at checkout' isn't being applied for me.

Edit: never mind, the colour I selected isn't part of the sale.

  • Is it polarised?

    • +1

The one I linked are not polarised. Selected Polarised Ray-Ban are available at 30% off.

      • Thanks

There's no promo code, selected item discounted by 30% in cart.

Unless you're referring to the $25 off your First Full Price Purchase, which doesn't apply to sale items.

      Great Price!

Just note that the Ray-Ban you bought (RB4165F) - F indicates 'Alternate Fit' which are designed to suit people with higher cheekbones and wider nose bridges (ie. Asian)
