EA falsely advertised a new revamped Career Mode but after the trial and early release it is clear we have been sold a broken mode.

    Good for FUT but bad for your wallet. FUT is a grindfest which promotes pay to win and is bringing gambling into your kid's lives.

        My kids have never bought it, they don't get the option. I did on FIFA 18, probably spent $50 on it and felt like a proper wally afterwards.

      anyone who buys FIFA, Madden, or NBA2k every year is a clown anyway. These games make up 70% of EA's revenue, its the only thing keeping them afloat. Thats how they were able to survive the BFV dumpster fire.

          agreed, most people who play sports games dont really play any other games, maybe COD and Fortnite and thats about it. Unfortunately their casual nature is what keeps bad companies like EA alive.

          It's not the roster and teams we're talking about. Everyone knows that FIFA is only about FUT nowadays which in turn is only about making you feel the need to spend money to keep up with the opponent's. The other modes are just a sideshow.

    I have a copy of Fifa19 still sealed. Can it be played without Xbox Live? I mean is there offline mode? I don't want to stick it into the Xbox and wait for it to update 60gig so I can start the game. I'm not a fan so 60gig download is too much for a short gaming session.🙂

      yes there are a lot of offline modes such as career mode, kick-off(house rules, regular matches), the journey, men's tournaments, champions league, europa league, the women's world cup and other tournaments.

    Fut is a grind fest that obviously tries to get you to p2w.

    But the gameplay is solid, volta is shallow but a nice addition to break up standard gameplay and the kickoff modes are great.

    Heard the career is bugged so may want to wait until a patch if not keen on online.

    Overall best gameplay for ages which will probably be ruined as has happened in the past but much nicer than 19 atm.

    Addit:

    Seeing as school holidays give it a go to get price matched at EB games. Get it on the day, play it for up to a week and if not keen return it otherwise keep and enjoy.

    I've sunk at least 20 hours into this game and it is no doubt an improvement over the previous year. Highly recommend (it's addictive af)
