  • what is HNC?

    • Hybrid Noise Cancellation. Just a marketing term.

      • +1

Cheers. Had a quick read, seems if it's done right then it's much better than typical ANC as far as using internal and external mics to detect what sounds are coming through to the ears, rather than just trying to block out everything that touches the outside of the cans - which reduces sound quality.

        • According to reviews I read they are pretty decent with ANC thanks to good noise-isolation.
Overall NC out-performs the entry-level Sony WH-CH700N apparently.

  • +3

I got these in a previous sale. Very impressed by the quality for the price.

  • +2

I have these as well. Great quality for the money and really comfortable. Sound quality is clear with no distortion but could be a bit louder. I've used these on the plane and the ANC does a solid job with blocking out the noise (not as good as the Bose or Sony high end ones obviously). I highly recommend them :)

    • A review of these stated they have good noise-isolation (ANC-off) to begin with, and therefore with the ANC-on they do a better job than the entry-level Sony WH-CH700N ANC headphones.

I am thinking of getting a pair myself to use the ANC & just listen to silence.

  • Do these have Aptx? Does it matter?

    • +1

These don't have aptx. Whilst I've not had these, I believe you will notice lag watching videos or playing games without the aptx codec. Listening to audio only is fine.

Happy for someone who has tried these to correct me!

    • If you're looking for guaranteed lag-free audio from your tv or similar, then it matters I guess. I'd buy a pair if they had it. My sony 1000xm3 don't and it's a minus.

      • +1

Which is the best Taotronics model that I should look out for that has AptX?

        • Do you def want overhead? The BH-07 in ear are fantastic with aptx, and because they are in ear NC isn't a huge requirement.

          • @Batz: Thanks, I am considering the BH070 which are currently on special, they look to be similar specs. Just not sure if battery life is enough.

      • Sony WH-1000XM3 does have AptX.

"The headset supports the following 5 codecs for music playback via an A2DP connection: SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC".

  • MicroUSB? Why…..

    • You get what you pay for, won't be expecting USB C charging for this price at least.

  • Would consider these with aptx! Been very happy with the TT wireless in ears.

  • It is back to $109.99 :(
    Lightning Deal has sold out

  • Looks like B&O
