Time to rack up more stamps on my loyalty card!

  • Yes please!

  • Any of the Sydney ones opened in the first half of the year? If not, it's a pity they're all bunched towards second half; Macquarie Park & Chatswood are close together.

    • Don't think so; the first one opened in December.

An Ippudo west of Strathfield like Parramatta would be nice; it's always in the more affluent areas …

        I'd really like a Parramatta store :(.

  • Is this as good as Ippudo in Japan?

    • Have only been to one Ippudo in Japan, the menu is much bigger, prices are cheaper (at least it was so when the exchange rate was favourable) but I didn't order the above two ramen varieties so it's a bit hard to compare. I would say that I have not been disappointed with Ippudo in Sydney except that is is quite expensive (when not on special) and you may need the extra noodles unless you are a small eater.

    • I've been to the Chatswood branch of Ippudo twice and unfortunately it was pretty disappointing both times. It was expensive and the ramen quality was rather average. If you're around North Sydney, you'd be much better off going to Manpuku or Ryo's.

    • We have one in Melbourne. Though I thought it was nothing over the top and I'd prefer Hakata over this. But I have a Japanese friend and she said it's not too far from the one in Japan.
