I think it depends on how you use your phone. My wife has a Huawei P20 Pro. I definitely do not want to carry it in my pocket, it's just too big and heavy compared to my S5. If I used phone for almost everything I would probably go for bigger screens too, but I only use phone when outdoors waiting for stuff, so I prefer small size and light weight.
if you live on your phone maybe a big screen is want you want, whos to say.
i have a computer and laptop etc, phone for me means portability and easy access phrasing. i have a 6p and even tho its pretty nice and you do get used to it, it is too big and cumbersome many times, and the XL is even bigger. (profanity) that. for a portable device to be really enjoyable and easy to use the standard pixel is what i ordered. i think i need to get a battery bank.

Quick question - apart from the ugly notch, can people actually survive on 64gb storage nowadays?
Im on 47GB used as an average user that doesn't play mobile games anymore.. Can prob do fine with 64GB if you pay attention to what you need (my old one plus 5t is 128 though, so i wont be going backwards). And I was thinking going to XL but there is no 128 in stock - see what the 4 brings i guess (also see what it brings to XL 128 stock :D).

Not even a year released and 50% off price from launch. Is this normal or because people realise Pixel 3A does the same thing?
I feel like Pixel 3 is a fail product for Google. Its so fail to the point where Pixel 3A which supposed to be its little brother become more expensive.
It's actually a great product if you want stock android but people normally expect much more for flagship prices and there were just so many mid range priced phones that offered a lot more for half the price.
Remember google are software engineers, doesn't make them the best marketers like apple.
They also had sub par feature set and were seemingly counting on the fact that people like google. No, people hate google, we just have no choice to use anything otherwise.
They used the same camera hardware as Pixel 2 and just released better software which people soon figured out how to port to other phones.

Thank you for the opinion. I have no issue with XLs size as now using a iPhone 7 Plus. I know is bigger phone is very enjoyable to use. But decided to go with the smaller pixel 3 because I wanted to go back to a more active life style (e.g.pick up additional sport) as kids are slowly growing up. Smaller phone is just but more convenient on the go.
