    dyson v6

  • Gonna hijack with another question - which Dyson model is the most comparable performance wise to the Xiaomi Dreame?

Dyson over marketed and overhyped (and overly noisy).

    Miele or bust.

Unbelievably quiet, and suction power doesn't vanish after 12 months.

    • What he says… Miele.. even if it has a bag.

I remember wanting a dyson and discounting the miele because it wasnt was bagless.

After doing enough research, i was swayed by the overall superiority of miele over dyson and didnt regret it.

Meanwhile, i also bought a cheapie bagless for doing bigger messes and I HATE emptying the canister.

No matter how good the design is, you're flinging dirt and dust particles straight into the bin sending stuff everywhere. You have to hold your breath whilst doing it.

The cost of bags seams small when you can simply lift it out chuck it out and pop another one in and move on.

Also, buying them in bulk removes the hassle. I bought 1 box over 2 years ago and im still using it.

  • Hey OP I’ve had a few Dysons and liked them.

Recently bought a Miele and even though it’s half the price of the Dysons it’s heaps better.

It’s quieter, cheaper, lighter, feels better built, has more suction and is fully sealed. The house I’ve found is less dusty. I do miss seeing all the dirt being picked up. Honestly give the bagged one ago.

  • Miele CX1s do not seem to be coming with motor-heads. Isn't that an issue?

    • Get the bagged Miele it has better suction and holds more dust.

Take a look at commercial vacuum cleaners, notice how they’re all bagged? That’s because it’s a better system both in suction and filtration.

  • Miele 3 cat and dog

Have seen it for $275 on sale not long ago online as well.

I have had one of these for 18 months (commercial use). Absolutely flogged it on building sites, outdoors etc and it still has all the suction.

Easy to clean, just replace the bag, i just buy the cheap bags from Godfrey's $30 for 30 bags, but i reuse the bags (wash them).

When using it, i clean building sites with it, Gyprock dust, plaster, nails, screws, pet hair you name it. Outdoors, leaves, grass, dirt you name it. I even suck up water (accidentally) as in it's water resistant, not waterproof.

PS: My Dyson lasted about 2 weeks doing the same work.

  • Not sure why everyone try to up sell Miele.
If OP after bagless, go for Dyson ( at least V7).
    main advantage would be portability.
Can't really compare Dyson to Miele, their intentions are slightly different.

    • Not upswell, more suggesting.

A lot of people think Dyson/bagless offers better cleaning. When in reality Miele is far superior.

    • What are their intentions?
