Anyone Else Get Free Money in KFC App?

Got an awesome email from KFC today -

“Life just ain't the same without you.

We were beginning to forget you, Kami. Nah, not really. We could never forget that email address. But with $4 on us, what better time to rekindle our friendship? 👯

Don’t wait too long though! This offer is only redeemable once on the KFC App and is valid for 7 days… starting NOW.

Minimum spend $5. Not everywhere and not forever. Not available in Queensland, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.”

Looks like I’m getting myself 26 wings tomorrow

How long since you last ordered on the app?

  • Hey OP, I'll send you $4 for "free". All you have to do is send me $5.

  • No, I just get a free meal every time I order via Deliveroo after 7pm and add gravy to the order.

Both times I've ordered, they've substituted coleslaw because they were out of gravy, and when I report it I get the entire meal refunded.

I'm not trying to scam KFC, I just want gravy with my chips, but apparently the local franchisees for WA has cracked down on "wastage", and so after ~7pm a ton of menu items are unavailable. One of the two times they even put a couple of chicken strips in a bun and tried to pass it off as a fillet burger, because they were out of burgers.

Prior to Deliveroo, when ordering at the store, if they were out of what I wanted (about 50% of the time), I'd go to the website on the receipt and leave feedback, and they'd give me a free chips I'd never use… but now with Deliveroo the order gets refunded, which I feel makes the point much better. I'm hoping someone at KFC corporate gets the message, because it blows my mind that they're both spending so much on advertising the partnership when they have such limited food inventory in the evenings.

Anyway, worst case you actually get the meal you order, which for me is probably as good (if not better) than getting the meal for free.
