Using a freezer as a fridge is usually a lot more efficient to start with, since the insulation is thicker.
I've used chest freezers as a beer and drinks fridge before. Just be mindful for freezer only units, they usually get to temp and freeze any moisture on the sides, which will turn back to liquid and pool at the bottom when above temp gets above 0
this would be perfect for a keg fridge.
Energy efficiency seemingly not great at 3.5 stars but what does this rating actually compare against?

Totally different one is an upright fridge and freezer the other is a chest fridge or freezer depending on how you want it to operate. The one you posted was also only $303 earlier this month without discounts. Their free postage is also a joke as the item is located in Sydney yet they don't deliver to Sydney Metro.

How does the Interchangeable Chest Fridge Freezer work? It was designed as a freezer, but with a temperature control to crank it up to above zero to make into a fridge? Does it affect the life of the equipment? Any drawbacks on this?
Chest fridge would be good. No cold loss when opening. Should be a lot more efficient than an upright fridge. Anyone tried using one instead of a mainstream fridge?
