Thanks! Had a 5dollar Amazon coupon I didn't know about either.

I'm going to assume they're best before date is near

    • Shit, seriously? I don't see anything on the item description.

Hopefully not otherwise I'll be eating this every day for the rest of the year.

      • Neither did I but 5 dollars.. what else could it be ?

It's either that or price error lol

      • +1

If they are short dated- amazon chat and you’ll get them for free.
Will make eating them daily worth it

  • And they are gone

    Nice deal op

  • Price error I'd say. Listing has already been deleted from Amazon.

  • Just tried to order (Prime)

"We're sorry. This item is no longer available from the seller you selected. We'll move it to the Saved Items section of your Shopping Cart. From there, you can click the item to return to its product information page and try another seller."

    Oh well.

  • Price error I'd say as a single bar is $5.09 on this listing - https://www.amazon.com.au/Quest-Protein-Rocky-Road-Flavour/d…

  • Dam work, I missed this one

Look at the ingredient list; these are not good for you.

    • +2

      What's wrong with them

      • +8

They're made of apple cores and Chinese newspapers.

        • -1

I'd rather apple cores and chinese newpapers churning away in my stomach while im at the GIME instead of these.

Well apart from having little to no nutritional value, they're packed with no less than three different artificial sweeteners.

You are peanut if you believe artificial sweeteners arem't bad for you. There is plenty of evidence to suggest it disrupts gut bacteria for starters.

        See: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31351100

        An exert from the abstract:

Scientific studies on the sweetener sucralose, used here as a representative LNCS, indicate that this organochlorine compound unequivocally and irrefutably disrupts the gut microbiome at doses relevant to human use. Results of dozens of additional research publications added and reviewed here also raise significant and extensive concerns about the safety of sucralose for the human food supply.

I've tasted these bars and they taste nice, but im sorry you don't get something this sweet with only 1g of sugar without compromising somewhere else.

There are no free lunches in life, if you've saved sugar/calories, you've given up something elsewhere.

        • The point of artificial sweetners aren't that they're good for you, it's that they're a better alternative than real sugar. Just because two things are bad, it doesn't mean one isn't better than the other. I'm guessing you don't have to look far to find peer-reviewed journal articles that conclude sugar is bad for you.

Protein Blend (Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate)
      , Soluble Corn Fiber,
      Almonds,
      Water,
      Cocoa Butter,
      Natural Flavors,
      Erythritol,
      Cocoa Processed with Alkali.

Contains less than 2% of the following: Coconut Oil, Sea Salt, Sodium Caseinate, Sunflower Lecithin, Baking Soda, Steviol Glycosides (Stevia), Xanthan Gum, Sucralose.

I get the Erythritol might be bad but these are some of the best protein bars out there - no soy protein , low carbs

        See my reply above.

Best protein bars out there?? Are you sure??

If i were to choose to consume protein from supplementary products, I wouldn't waste my time on this and just take an (hopefully AUS sourced) WPI, save yourself from all the other crap because the protein is the only item of interest in these bars.

Damnit I would have jumped on this, I've been buying them for $5 PER BAR! :(

    • At least buy them by the box!

      • Problem is I'm worried I will eat 5 a day if I buy them by the box. I can't have a whole pile just sitting there haha. At the moment i have to walk to IGA, spend my $5 for one at a time. If they were as cheap as this deal I'd just get the box though.

These bars are really cheap too, $2.03 for 16 bars on Amazon (another possible price error):

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Go-Natural-Bondi-Mixed-Bars/dp/B00…

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Go-Natural-Macadamia-Dream-Bar/dp/…

    • Boxed weight is for one bar (50g) but title says 16 count.
They'll probably send you one and you'd have to chat with them to wrangle a box…or they'll refund your $2

      • +1

The box weight for the almond one is 962g, so the weight of 16 bars :) the macadamia box weight is 50g so they will probably send one…!

        • I just noticed that but was too slow to edit!

    • How can shipping weight on the ‘natural’ bars be 962g on the first bar? Clearly not 1 bar nor a box of 16 bars!

      • Shipping weight includes the weight of the packaging…

    • I ordered the apricot one. ETA of delivery is November-December.

    • Good find, ordered both, lets see how it goes

    • Got this email for the apricot bars:

      Hello,
We regret to inform you that we have been unable to source the following item:

I would stay away from these bars. They are nasty.

Get your protein from proper food sources

    • +1

I only listen to REAL music and eat REAL protein.

      • -2

People who eat this crap will never have an amazing body and usually, don't know the first thing about nutrition. They see PROTEIN and immediately think its good for them

These things are filled with crap fillers and sweeteners

Anyone who knows the fitness industry knows this and stays away from this

Each to their own. This was just a bit of advice. No need to neg if you don't actually know the facts

        • Macros are macros. "Clean" protein is bro-science.

        • +1

Quest bars ain't that bad. I use them as snacks, decent hit of 20g when I need to be hitting 180g per day. I'd say it's perfectly fine to have them every now and then but not as a mainstay in your diet.

(I have a degree from one of the best sport's universities in the world as background)

  • Recieved 2 boxes today and they’ve been restocked at $40
