Pretty sure the missus would kill me for having a 55" TV in the kitchen.

Haha. I was thinking possibly mounting this on the inside door of the throne room.

  • Is there even any stock left?

  • Not sure where you're getting $299?? Either way there's no stock.

Friends picked up from following location as per them
      Blacktown NSW x5
Epping VIC x more than 6
Redbank QLD x more than 8

  • showing as 349

    • Are you sure?

  • Showing $299 for me. Good deal

Not just Brisbane. $299 at Elizabeth SA.

Also, $299 pick up looks to be possible from Ballarat VIC.

    • Open the page in a private window.

    • Ender Underwood QLD as location when prompted and price will drop to $299.

    • Click your location in the top right corner and change it to Ballarat.

    • In the 'Pick up' tab click 'Select store' next to Ballarat.

    • Now you can add it to your cart at $299 instead of $349.

    • Called up Elizabeth and they reported out of stock.
Not updated on their site, it seems.

  • Tempting…the reviews on the Big W site are horrible though; seems to be a very high failure rate in <2 years.

I don't care how "bad" this image quality is, wow @ that price. People talking down about these TVs are probably upset that they spent 10x more for a 2x better image

  • I recently bought the 40" telly for $199 from Amazon that was posted not too long ago. Combined it with a Vodafone box and its perfect for the bedroom. Couldn't be happier with it! In case you want a cheap TV but not as big as 55".

  • I purchased the 55" Soniq TV from amazon. 3 years warranty, picture is pretty good when watching 4k content. Honestly for the $350~ it cost me its hard to fault it.

Sure its not as good as $1000+ TV's, but those tv's are not 3x better IMO.

Assume this big w tv would be no different.

  • $399 for the JVC 58" UHD unicorn now.

  • Just wondering what the returns rate is on these Viano TV's?

I guess you get what you pay for.

    • TV's these days seem to be a real gamble.

I paid $800 odd for a Samsung from Appliances Online but it shit itself after two years due to faulty capacitors. It had great reviews online at the time I purchased it.

Meanwhile my $500 Aldi TV is still going strong after 10+ years. It has terrible reviews online.

Also have a Kogan TV I got for about $500 a few years ago and it's doing great too.

The Samsung had the best features by far, but the other two are still alive and kicking so I guess I can't argue with that.

      • that's pretty common for Samsung TV's.
mine died just after 12 months warranty was up. thankfully they replaced under ACL.
second tv is still going strong but it doesn't get used much.

  • anyone know if you can purchase extended warranty from BIG W for TV's?
    couldn't find any info online.

  • Lot of reviews on the big w website for this TV, alot of issues being mentioned
