Salesforce or Other CRM Alternatives

Hi All

Building a lead generation website using Salesforce Developer Edition.. but it only has 20MB storage space.

The CRM identifies the lead and shoots out an e-mail appropriately using a workflow/ automation rule.

Salesforce Essentials is affordable and about $30/ month, but this functionality is only available at Enterprise level at $200 a month.

Anyone got any solutions (ways Salesforce Essentials might be able to do this), or cheaper CRMS or other softwares that can keep all the lead data and shoot out an e-mail using the data?

  • This is a question for whirlpool or stackoverflow.

I don't think you will get many responses from CRM subject matter experts here TBH.

CRM expert here. I think that you should… j/k NFI what this post even means.

  • Which functionality is available in enterprise level only? The emailing part?

Be pretty easy to write a script to fetch data using Odbc driver from sales force and do the emails in python etc.

  • Maybe check out drip. One thing you might find though is that the cost scales depending on your contacts so if you have a few thousand prospects your cost is likely to go up. Might be helpful to know what you're integrating it with too.

  • HubSpot
    SugarCRM

    • +1 Hubspot
Totally free and integrates with gmail and outlook
Not sure on your use case but worth looking and signing up for trial use - it's free anyway
My work provisioned me Salesforce and I would prefer Hubspot tbh

  • Active Campaign

  • Wordpress install with Gravity forms plugin

You can configure the notification email routing based on conditional logic of the values supplied in the form

All submitted form data is stored

  • With CRMs, just understand how the price scales. Some scale with customers, others scale with users. Know what works best for you or you may be stung with a big increase in cost as your businesses grows. I quite like Freshsales (scales based on users) and Active Campaign (scales based on customers). Both of which can shoot of emails in responses to actions. Or for more complex events you can add a Zapier extension.

    • Thanks mate! Helps heaps :)
