I support and like e-gaming in all it's incarnations. But the irony of flying people in to a common physical location from all over the world so they can play an online game always makes me laugh.

That's because Australia's latency is too high. It is the only way to have a fair contest. If we had < 30 ms to the world, then this wouldn't be required.

        Damn pesky laws of physics…

        • I'm sure we'll figure something out that travels faster than the speed of light…

That is still fricking expensive. Row 8 backward.. maybe.

Online streaming of an online contest FTW.

Friend, I'm sorry but I must boycott Blizzard indefinitely. Absolutely disguting display of cowardice.

In other news, Australia has been slammed , yet again, by the UN for its treatment of asylum seekers…

    • What's this for? I'm out of the loop on in regards to anything blizzard wise….

      • They brought the hammer down on a Hearthstone (I think?) tournament winner and the commentators/hosts for using his victory speech to express support for Hong Kong protestors. Cue a massive outcry and major backtracking (they have since reinstated the award money and reduced his suspension).

  • Aw, I thought this was was some sort of live action/adventure movie release based off the games….
