guys

Not sure this is a bargain or not, but i think for outright price its not bad. Any one bought this phone? any comments? I wanted to buy this, but when I was browsing I found out many different prices for this phone ranging from $439 to $717. May be some one can explain this.

  • According to GSMARENA, Samsung Google Nexus S I9023 is SLCD and I9020A is Super AMOLED.

    • Indeed, the aus version(I9023) is SLCD.

However, this is not a bargain and a pretty standard price.

      • Thanks mate, looks like after the postage + insurance, deals on the ebay seems to be cheaper as Gotbean mentioned.

May be MOD can take this out?

  • I have had one, and really didn't think all that much of it.
Not one I'd recommend to anyone, it wasn't as responsive as I'd like plus the lack of micro SD is a big issue and the feel of it was very plastic…

    • +1

I have one, and really think it is great.
I'd recommend this to anyone, it is super responsive and the build quality is solid. Amazing phone for the price!…

  • I have one from vodafone, I like it better than the iphone.. but I dont think I would pay $450 (or thereabouts)

It is plastic, but it still feels solid. the slightly curved screen gives it character. when you get it out of your pocket, its hard to tell which side is up

  • cheaper here too:

plus i have picked up 2 in the last month on ebay for around $360 shipped

    • I was about to refer the crazysales site too. It seems you don't pay GST buying from that site.
by the way, where did you get the phone for $360 shipped? Can you post the link here please? So tempted.

      • Just keep an eye on auctions, I've been looking at auctions over the past week or so and the average is around 390-410.

  • Cheaper at Unique Mobiles, with cheaper shipping:

  • Australian stock, plus mobileciti have a great rep on ozbargain, maybe they can do a deal ? From the looks of this there are a few people ready to pull the trigger, including me.

  • I have an AMOLED one. Great phone. Has NFC too, so its ready for Google wallet.

Another bonus of this phone is that Google maintain the build. So its more likely to obtain new OS versions first.

  • Does anyone know if samsung allshare/ Samsung remote applications work on this phone?

  • -5

    i hate samsung

      i hate bargain_dude

  • Google prime will be released in towards the end of this year. So I believe this phone may be selling for $199 on prepaids like the Nokia E71 is up for $129. lol

  • Considering all the other cheaper places to buy it, I'd either get it elsewhere or get the SGS2.
Honestly, you will kick yourself for getting this once you try the SGS2 (which is only $100-200 more)!
