Anyone care to comment on the pc specs? Value for money or go to MSY?

      $2k and you’re only getting an i5??

I’d be buying a TechFast prebuilt so quick

Although I’d personally build my own

      • +1

The components used aren't bad, haven't done a sum to see its value, but it's not the worst going around.

        • +2

Points to them for including brand and model of most of the components.

        • +6

I used au.pcpartpicker.com to quickly price up the components. I came to about $1860 (with some assumptions about the type of RAM, SSD, Case)
*I did this super quick just to satisfy my own interest….don't rely on this pricing for your own decision making.

@bluedez_man: Given assembled and presumably ease of warranty, that's actually great value.

Review of the monitor listed by the looks of it: https://www.pcgamer.com/au/medion-erazer-x52773-review/

    • It's definitely not Samsung PLS, rather Samsung SVA, but the review is spot on that this is a very average monitor beyond its contrast and colour depth.

Unfortunately both the monitor market and monitor reviews leave a lot to be desired these days.

  • Who makes the PC?

review of the build from the same site : https://www.pcgamer.com/au/medion-erazer-x67127-review/

reviewer mentions that the case is a slightly modified inwin case, and the components seem to be sourced from quality manufacturers. He also states the PC is built well with tidy cable management.

Good on them for using a decent power supply.

Keyboard: for the key switch specs, just get the Kogan one for $39 (if these are the 'new' or box Kalih, then it's an ok price, but there's no evidence to show that)
Mouse: just get the Cooler Master one from MWave for $45, or a Logitech G102 for $20-30 from eBay
Monitor: exactly the same as the Kogan one, avoid
Headphones: wow, don't even bother, avoid

PC: actual rip-off if you're prepared to use this website properly

I'm sorry, can the people down-voting me please point out the clear value proposition for any of the items listed in this deal compared to current sales and offers?

If not, don't click the button.

    • what headphones should i get?

      • +1

Closed back, with mic and in the same price range, locally? Cooler Master MH751 if you have a good sound card. They should be going on sale again in November for $75ish.

  • Aldi's noise canceling headphones literally fell apart within the few months I had them.

This headset is different but make sure to keep your receipts.

  • Anyone have experience with gaming headphones? in the market for a new one.

    • Yes, my headphones are gaming headphones but I still haven't worked out how to install games on them.

  • Hi everyone,

    I’ve spent the last few days hunting around for a information on the keyboard. After speaking to the main office in Germany, here is the information I have gotten;

    1. “ According to our specs, this Erazer X81081 gaming keyboard has the simple US keyboard layout without extended or UK special characters.”

    2. Here is a link to the PDF product description (in English) https://fcld.ly/ruvh4e0

    I hope this helps.
