  • Better than the Aldi one?

House needs one desperately but no desperate for $400

    • This one is cheaper, but not sure that it's better?

Does the Aldi one have a bump feed? I cannot figure out from the website

      • Had some saber gear a few years ago. Not garden power equipment but the same Saber brand.

It's just a rebadge brand. They don't build anything. Their lowest quality Chinese OEM stuff.

        Cheap but awful.

Please don’t buy this one. I returned mine yesterday and bought the Aldi one. If you can find stock for the Aldi one I highly recommend it. When I returned this one to total tools the manager said he also bought one which died after two uses for no apparent reason. The plastic near the engine split on mine after one use causing petrol to leak everywhere. Also the bump feed does not work you still need to pull the string out of the trimmer head. All in all please save your $60 and either buy the Aldi one or wait for a better deal elsewhere

      • That does not sound good your only one on here who has mentioned such issues i cant even recall your username from when it was posted orginally?
I use mine every 2 to 3 monthd and only just used it recently not had such issues yet. But your right on the bump feed thing i could not get that to work and kept having to pull the line out.
I hope what you say is not common on them all leaking petrol etc.
I wanted at time to get a battery trimmer to go with my battery mower but as it's still sold as kit at 229 i thought i grab this trimmer instead and once trimmer is skin grab then. But if what you say is common or its a bigger piece of crap than i thought then i might need to buy the battery trimmer i should have in first place. Probably have a yr use this under warranty so if any issues right back it goes

I doubt it is common on them all however I was told that they were a “failure” of a machine. If you get a year out of it then it’s worth the $60 unfortunately mine didn’t last two uses. Just wanted people to know and hopefully save a few people the drive back to return them

          • @melbsparky6: Well i have not used it a second time yet so who knows after reading this wished i had gone for the battery trimmer i was planning to get all along as wanted all battery. But thought this was cheap and hopefully the trimmer in skin only will be on offer later.
Just dont want the battery trimmer with the extra crap battery's and slow chargers it comes with.

      • I have the same trimmer and it is as good as any other one with in 150 to 200 price rage. I have used mine extensively (on an acreage) in the last month and it never missed a beat. Our property had overgrown grass and the local gardener quoted over 200 to clean it. My trimmer would have at least 20 hours on it now and other than swapping to a different cutting cord, I have done no other maintenance. Yes its not a stihl but for 59 dollar you can't go wrong with this. I also have their blower which was on sale last time.

        • The blower is also on sale for $59. I was going to post another deal for that, but after the negative comments about them, I thought twice about it.

          • @bazzato: I got the blower last time, returned it almost immediately. As I was walking out the guy said "you have to play with the choke to get it started" that rang alarm bells for me.

    • I am using Aldi one from 5 years only need new spark plus every year but still good for 700 square meter
Fuel lid is not good leaking all the time
